Capcom: Dragon's Dogma Boasts 300 Hours Of Gameplay
It's Capcom's attempt to create something like Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls, so role-playing fanatics should be intrigued.
During a recent Guardian interview, producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi offered up a few encouraging details:
Firstly, he said this title features "the biggest map we've created in a Capcom game." He elaborated by saying if you walk around the coastline of the world, it'll take "four to five hours." Secondly, he says the campaign will take around 50 hours to complete, but the adventure offers up to "300 hours" if one tackles all the side quests and does everything available.
Interestingly enough, Bethesda made the same estimate for last year's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The cool part is that Capcom is obviously trying to break free of their mold, as Dragon's Dogma is clearly a new type of game for them. Said Kobayashi:
"I'm glad you think it doesn't sound like a regular Capcom title. We wanted to try something new, and break into this open-world RPG genre, but of course include all the Capcom elements that we have in a lot of our games."
Well, we wish them luck on that. We're just not sure if we can squeeze in another Skyrim-sized game...not everyone has months and months of free time, ya know.

I pray they don't release a super, edition of Dragons Dogma in 6 months :P
Gameplay wise, the Demo is awesome! It reminds me of Dark souls, mixed with some elements of Lost planet 2. I just really wish they had put in some sort of co-op into the game, as it just seems like a perfect fit.... oh dear lord if co-op is DLC I will give up gaming and take up farming or something.
