Harmonix Working On New Story-Driven Music/Rhythm IP?
We know Harmonix is working on Rock Band Blitz, a downloadable music title that only uses the controller (shades of Amplitude).
But we didn't know they're apparently working on another, perhaps larger and more ambitious, project. According to various job listings as noted by online sleuth Superannuation, Harmonix might be preparing an all-new IP for the next generation of consoles.
The interesting part is that this new title could have a significant story element, as they're looking for those with experience in narrative development (they want to "incorporate creative story lines into gameplay"), along with content and level designers. Under one job description for a software engineer, the team says they need help with "a unique motion-gaming IP."
Now, up until this point, we haven't really seen any music/rhythm games with a story-driven plot. It's like putting such a feature into fighting games...we just don't need it. Or wait...maybe we do. Maybe this really is the next step in an ailing genre. And if anyone can do it, the pioneers over at Harmonix can.

please just for the love of god can we PLEASE get the track list fixed?
its called ROCK band not pop band!
or metal band!
i wish antivision would have a import track list feature like RB does, that way i could play the old GH1 and 2 tracks in world tour.
definitely by far the best track list a music games ever had, GH1 was near perfect!
i wish they would do a guitar hero guns and roses, come on who does not want to play night train on expert difficulty?
chinese democracy would be interesting too, not a bad album.
definitely not worth the decade + worth wait, but not bad.
