Thatgamecompany Should Announce New Title This Year
After the titles Thatgamecompany has produced, we'll always be excited to learn about one of their new projects.
And the latest will be the team's first after the three-game deal with Sony ended. The amazing Journey was the last and now, studio co-founder Jenova Chen has told VG247 that they intend to select a publisher "in the next month."
The best part is that the game should be announced some time this year, so we can all look forward to that. Said Chen on the process of "readjusting" after being with Sony:
"It takes us a little bit of time to basically readjust after the three game deal [with Sony]. We’re very close in figuring out what the next deal is. We’re negotiating with various partners, so maybe within the next month, we’ll be able to determine which is the [right deal]."
Chen added that they "intentionally announce games very early," so they're not about to wait. You may recall that Journey was revealed only six months after releasing Flower. At any rate, we'll be interested to see who ends up working with Thatgamecompany, and more importantly, what type of game the talented developer is currently working on...

All I know is that if it were me I would have snatched them up after Flower received such critical acclaim. Not to mention Flow. Whatever the outcome I am a fan and will follow TGC closely. I wonder what treasure they will produce next.

i honestly cant see their style of games doing very well on XBLA, steam they would but XBLA i seriously doubt it.
50 bucks says they end up going to the EA partners program, man allot of once first party devs have defactered to them!
never thought id see the day where insomniac worked with EA, i still dont believe it!
speaking of overstrike i wonder why insomniac have been so quiet on it.
they announced it last E3 and have not said boo since!
hopefully at E3 will see more, and maybe hopefully a launch window.
im really looking forward to it, what little they showed at E3 looked so cool!
