Dante Slices Into Action On January 15
Dante will ultimately return, but not this year.
Capcom has announced that the highly anticipated Devil May Cry reboot, known simply as DMC, will launch for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America on January 15. The PC version won't arrive until later, although development on that iteration is "well underway."
When the game was first revealed, long-time fans of the cocky hero were a little annoyed at his new "emo" look. But developer Ninja Theory has made it plain that such a change was encouraged and ultimately approved by Capcom, as the two companies apparently continue to work closely on this project. If you'd like an example of some gameplay, the developer has released plenty; here's one video that proved the high-impact combat from past entries is still very much intact. That scythe looks like an amazing weapon.
Hopefully, this January 15 date will be better, as DMC doesn't have to compete with the highly competitive fall lineup. It's likely that their last effort, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, was hurt by hitting during a busy October, and we still say that game didn't get enough attention. But then again, "Devil May Cry" is a well-known IP, so...

Not to mention the mods that will come out for it can further alleviate some more complaints.(Original Dante skins and whatnot)
I'm not buying this game what so ever, I just wanted people that are the fence to know that the PC version will most likely be the better choice if they have problems with many of the things we know about it.

The PC version for DMC4 was far better than the console versions.
Bar a horrible port job, the simple fact that the PC version will run at 60fps instantly makes the PC version better.

I think people will be surprised at the story aspect as that is where NT excels, and the combat certainly looks up to par.
I wish they had found a way to get Andy Serkis in this.
