Rumor: Kingdom Hearts HD Remix Gracing PS3, Wii U, Vita

Okay, so it's not necessarily a full-fledged new adventure made for consoles. But it's still Kingdom Hearts, damnit.

Of the many E3 rumors that are crisscrossing the web right now, this has got to be one of the most exciting: According to Dual Pixels citing a recurring source ("Geno"), Kingdom Hearts: Remix - or Kingdom Hearts: Remembrance - is headed to the PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PlayStation Vita.

Evidently, all the games in the image you see here will be included in the package; they'll all be remastered in stunning high-definition, and they'll even feature new side quests that'll "tie up the plots of each game." Now, this may not be exactly what the veteran franchise fans have been pining for, but if accurate, this will be one hell of a bundle. One might also hope that because such a collection exists, Square Enix might be gearing up for that long-awaited new adventure for the PS3...

Skipped these during my PS2 days. I'd buy this. Couple reasons really; I want to support SE's strong franchises and that would be a lot of trophies. Somehow, this sounds too good to be true though. I would bet against this rumor being true in any way. :(

All of those games in one package? OMG This will be awesome if it's true. I'm definitely gonna get it even if that means I'll be playing the dragging beginning of the first Kingdom Hearts game again.

And btw, S-E, please do NOT change the songs! "Hikari/Simple and Clean" and "Passion" fit the games like a glove.

Id love that... too bad they cant add RECoded to it.. maybe as a hidden unlockable? i mean why give us BBS and 385/2 days and chains of memories but no recoded?

umm i coulda sworn it supposedly takes place after 1 or 2.. how can it take place after one of those games but have no plot? i mean without a plot how do you determine its place in the timeline?

It has a very loosely thrown together plot with no "real" significance to the overall storyline of Kingdom Hearts. It takes places after KH2, but it's really just a game that has a bit of story at the very end.

I thought Re:coded was a good game (could have been better). Anyways, duomaxwell007 this is the easy way to put it.

It does actually tie up the events leading from kh2 to dream drop distance. Story wise, KH Re:coded was basically just a filler that just didn't have enough material to make a full fledged story out of it =).

If you also take into consideration that it has the lowest scores of the entire franchise and the articles says, "feature new side quests that'll tie up the plots of each game." So Square Enix is going to cut their loses and leave it out.

If me and you get lucky, they will just make it dlc. It had some fun gameplay =D

edit: hell they might make dream drop distance dlc.

Cool, I am intrigued by this news. I hope this rumor turns out to be true. I have never played a KH game but have heard they are great. So I am looking forward to seeing how good these games are. I would love to play this on my Vita that's for sure. Who knows, there may be a cross play implementation too.

Holy crap....I played the living hell out of 1 and 2 on my PS2, and had Chain Of Memories for the GBA, but now I'll get to experience in glorious HD and updated gameplay on PS3?

Count me in for a day one purchase!

i could understand 3D not being on there since it was just released for the 3ds... but still... i don't want to have to buy a 3ds just to play it :/

YES!! Already have God of War HD Collection, MGS HD Collection and ICO/Shadow of the Collossus HD Collections! Got Sly Trilogy HD on PSN for $20 AUD, and will wait for the same bargain for Ratchet and Clank Trilogy HD!!

Kingdom Hearts HD is the only big one missing, what with FF X HD already being announced and in the works.

Just waiting for Tony Hawk HD, Lord of the Rings Return of the King on PS2 Classics, a split-screen SSX, and if it all happens I'll be a happy nostalgic camper! :)

I've played all but BBS. If this is true (hold your breath) i will be content for a good while. Still i want my KH story to get the ending it deserves...and really have it end. Along with FFvXIII.

I don't know, I can't see them putting Chain of Memories in there. Maybe Re-Chain but not the GBA version.

I also highly doubt them putting 385/2 in there.

I've never played any of the KoH games, but I've only heard great stuff about them. I would definitely give this a go.

One other thing, does anybody think that it's more than a coincidence that both this and the rumored Versus XIII/FFXV games are both to be coming to PS3 and Wii U?

OMG if this is true i am so picking it up, even though i have played both games, to be able to carry that around in the vita is amazing, also the side quests tieing up the plot is a nice addition, as this most definitely will help to collate our thoughts in this game and not end up in one big jumbled mess of incohherent gibberish what with the plot being all over the place right now.

If not for the GBA/DS games, I'd be more than willing to believe this. I just don't see how they could translate well to the PS3/Wii-U, but I don't see them as being SUCH a shocking addition to the Vita version. I'd probably get this for Vita, but I'll wait until official confirmation before setting money aside for it.

Chain of Memories also came out in 3D, with the same graphics of the first two games. As for 358/2 Days...yah it wouldn't look so hot, but they could still do it.

I'd totally get this for my Vita (when I get my Vita), but I would still much rather have Kingdom Hearts III. I'm 24 SE...the series started when I was 14...the last major entry was released when I was 17. . . hurry the hell up with the next major entry!

This is GREAT news!!!! (If it's true that is...)

The only games I haven't played is 358/2 days and Chain of Memories. I have 358/2 days sitting at home mind you, it's just mustering up the will to play it ;)

And to think I was considering watching a walkthrough for KH: CoM. Well...now there's NO NEED :)

Do it, Square! I don't care about the price! Charge $60, charge $80, charge $100!!! I will pay for this HD collection if it includes all of these games DAY 1!! No joke.

My only concern is, when the hell would they release it? They announced Final Fantasy X HD last year and we haven't even seen a screenshot yet.

OH MY GOD!!!! Yes Yes Yes!!!! Please say this is true. I dont wanna buy a 3DS jus for these game (literally only the KH games I want on NDS/3DS).

Oh and if SE can start giving hints and hyping KH3 and then give us a second collection just before KH3 releases containing recoded, Dream drop distance and anything else KH affiliated that dont get released on PS3.
