Naughty Bear Targets Paradise Island In A New Slashfest
Due to the totally insane theme alone, we reserve the right to once again get our hopes up.
505 Games and Behavior Interactive have announced Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise, which is scheduled to launch for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade this fall. The stuffing will fly!
The inhabitants of Paradise Island have shunned the revenge-seeking, holding-a-grudge Naughty Bear; everyone is going on vacation to an exotic island and our psychotic protagonist wasn't invited. So now he's out to nail everyone who turned their back on him, and he'll take advantage of a "completely overhauled combat system, brand new leveling up system, equipment customization with thousands of combinations, and over 30 mission sets across 11 distinct areas of Paradise Island."
Said 505 Games senior global brand manager Victoria Reeve:
"Following the success of our first outing with Naughty Bear, we really wanted to push the limits and give players a lot more freedom to be as naughty as they can and help Naughty Bear get revenge on the other bears who have been so mean to him. With the first Naughty Bear game audiences responded well to the juxtaposition of cuddly innocence, dark humor and over the top violence. We’re really looking forward to seeing what they make of all the great new features we’ve packed into Naughty Bear Panic in Paradise."
...not to second guess that "success" part, but Naughty Bear was just awful. Ludicrous and packed with potential but still...awful. But maybe it sold well enough to warrant the sequel and this time around, we see improvements and a digital release. So maybe this is exactly what we've been waiting for; what we should've had the first time around.

this is EXACTLY what i hate about the industry!
the worst game ever made gets a sequel, but really good games get left in the dark!
the same developer made WET which was actually a pretty good game so wheres the sequel to that?
i really cant understand developers these days!
our last game was absolutley hated by reviews, and fans alike its even been rated as one of the worst games ever made it was so bad!
so lets give it a sequel!
oppose to our last game was a under rated title allot of reviews really enjoyed it and fans called it one of the most under rated games of all time!
lets cann the series!
crap, uninspired stupid ideas gets sequels.
and well done original well thought out fun interesting rarely done ideas, good ideas get canned!
WTF!?
the gaming industry is officially the worst industry in the universe!
feeds crap and destroys quality!
or should i say feeds mediocrity and repetition and destroys originality?

What a waste of any number of resources.
