DUST 514 Details: Beta Tests, Home Integration, Vita App

Time for more DUST 514 details, anticipatory gamers.

Today, CCP Games had some fun at E3, unveiling new information destined to capture the attention of those anxiously awaiting the studio's ambitious new MMOFPS.

Firstly, the premier beta event for DUST 514 is scheduled to start on Friday, June 29, and will run through the weekend. If you're interested, you can register at the official site and participants will be chosen randomly. This will be the first of several testing events that will take place this summer.

Secondly, DUST 514 will be "fully integrated into PlayStation Home." Debuting as part of Sony's Virtual E3 Experience, the Home space for the game is a great way to get more familiar with the New Eden universe. Furthermore, if you're one of the first 10,000 visitors, you will receive an "All Access" beta key, which guarantees you a spot in one of the aforementioned beta tests.

Thirdly and lastly, DUST 514 supports the PlayStation Vita in the form of a companion app, which will be officially named DUST 514: Neocom. This application "integrates services that incorporate the feel and functionality from DUST 514 on PlayStation 3, with a focus on customization, communication and trade." You can customize each character and configure the load-outs with Neocom, and the app can also access a variety of social functions, such as the in-game Mail system and Friends List.

I kind of want to visit the home space but I already got a beta invite and I don't really want to possibly take away that chance from someone else.

I signed up a couple of days ago, so I hope I get in. (Hopefully I didn't delete the e-mail by accident)

I've been in since the beginning and will say it is very frustrating at the beginning until you develop a decent character then it is so much fun.

been in this for 2 weeks now.
they really need to add some new maps or something, playing the same map and mode for weeks on end gets seriously boring!
hopefully they will open allot more of it up soon, im really interested to see what the rest of the features are like.
