Konami Officially Confirms Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2
Rumors are encouraging but official news is just so much better. I mean, when it comes to clear-cut confirmation.
It was a popular action game that received high marks from critics around the world and so, Mercury Steam has been hard at work on a follow-up: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 has been revealed by Konami.
They didn't offer much in the way of information besides this fantastically filmed three-minute teaser, but we can probably expect a challenging, beautifully drawn and designed adventure. We also know this highly anticipated sequel will be headed to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, as one might expect. This is an example of how music alone can set the tone; we don't necessarily need voice acting or even special effect to engage us.

Absolutely adored Lords of Shadow, I'm so attached to Gabriel and his situation, wow.
*********SPOILERS**********
As for the unknown warrior in the end, It wouldn't make sense if it was Alucard, because:
Trevor Belmont is confirmed for the 3DS game, he is human. Unless he gets turned into a vampire and will change his name to Alucard... doubt it...
Also, he is son of Gabriel who was kept in secret by Pan and the Brotherhood, as a last resort because they were aware of Gabriel's true fate.
So my biggest guess is that the warrior is Hector because he has similar looking gauntlet/glove on his hand, similar attire and is also a swordsman. Another pointer is that mechanical titan. Hector was a Demon Forgemaster and could summon various demonic entities and constructs.
But that's just my speculation.

(Bear in mind I only have a cursory knowledge of the family lineage)

i hope they add a bit more enemy variety to this though.
got really boring fighting the same enemies over and over again!
story needs some work too, i loved the narration from the old british guy that was spectacular!
but the story itself, well, was as entertaining and gripping as watching paint dry!

Thank god Konami found Mercury Steam. At least Castlevania doesn't look like its going to suffer the fate that Silent Hill is.
