PSXE User Review Contest: Current Available Prizes

It's time to start up the next round of our So You Think You Can Review Video Games user review contest.

You've got one week (until next Sunday night) to submit a user review for consideration; just bear in mind that we already have several eligible submissions so you better make yours stand out! Also remember that you're not limited to only one submission; the more you toss up, the more likely it is that one of your reviews will end up in our final poll for the community.

For the last round, Gorilla Biscuit won a copy of Starhawk for his excellent analysis of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which he selected from the available list of prizes. This time, everything on that list is still up for grabs, and I'm tossing in a couple more:

  • DiRT Showdown (PS3)
  • Dungeon Hunter Alliance (Vita)

Oh, and don't forget that you can submit a review for virtually any PlayStation game from any generation. So if you feel the pressing need to remind everyone how great Final Fantasy VII is, feel free. ;)

Well I decided to submit the one review I written so far. It was for Fallout 3 GOTY edition. I'm not sure how good it is but I'd love to hear peoples criticism on it. Who knows maybe it'll be good enough to make it into the top ten.

Considering some of the stuff I've read from the members around here that's a big challenge but hey a gamer can dream right. lol

It's good Daze =) my criticism is that it needs more creative writing story telling paragraphs to break up boring analysis ;)

Thanks Temjin. I wan't to take some writing classes at the CC sometime soon. There is one class but I'd miss 2 weeks of it because I'll be on vacation out of town.

I think I really need to just keep trying to write more on other games I play. Only problem is I get lazy on wanting to do it.

Well, my problem is that I am *still* addicted to the same game, so although the backlog continues to grow, I have no new games for review. I could probably bash out a long term review of a certain game, but I have a feeling that might not be what anyone is really after...

Well, OK addicted is the wrong word. I am still playing the same game. I didn't realize that being a guild leader brought with it a certain feeling of obligation to play, not to mention the nightly round of admin to keep things running smoothly. Oh well, it's actually 100% worth every moment because the guild has grown and grown, and we are within striking distance of the top 10 WKC2 guilds outside Japan. Which may not sound like much, but for a bunch of gamers in a guild named after anime girls with cat ears, it's not too shabby. :)

Nekomimis FTW!

Of course. ;)

It's odd, but I actually find myself enjoying helping others enjoy the game as much as I enjoyed the game itself.

I'll catch up if/when WKC2 blows itself out. But catching up may take some time, my backlog of games continues to grow...

Running online gaming clubs is a pain, I don't think I'll do that again. When you do get shocked out of your comfort zone there's a fistful of JRPGs waiting for you to get to them. Tales F, Hyperdimension 2, and soon Atelier Meruru.

Yep Worlds, and most of them are sitting patiently on my desk waiting for me.

I'm not sure I would call it a pain, but it is a commitment. I still enjoy the game and helping other players, so it's still fun.

Highlander,
Ha, I was wondering why you were in WKC2 for sooo long, just figured you were doing a awful lot of grinding in there.

As for myself, I was trying to get everything in RDR & Undead nightmare & I'm almost done(97%), but it finally got to me so for so long so I stepped back for a bit & am now trying to get in AC1, 2, Bloodlines, Brotherhood, & Revelations before I go back to finish RDR completely fresh once again.

Glad to hear throw-backs are still welcome.

I actually wanted to do FFVII last time around, but thought it was too *clingy* or whatever.

I'm feelin' a batch of classics brewin'!
