"Reimagined" Nuketown 2025 Confirmed For Black Ops II
Well, you might as well bring back the most popular map from the first game. That sounds perfectly logical.
If you played Call of Duty: Black Ops, there's a good chance you're familiar with the Nuketown map. And according to an Activision announcement today, that map is being "reimagined" for inclusion in the upcoming Black Ops II.
The fresh version of this map will be called Nuketown 2025 and it'll be available "with all launch units" of the game in question. If you pre-order the hotly anticipated title at participating retailers, you should be guaranteed the redesigned downloadable bonus map. Said Treyarch boss Mark Lamia:
"Multiplayer fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops LOVE Nuketown. Flat out, Nuketown was a blast to play before, and we're excited about the reimagined Nuketown 2025 in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. We can't wait to play with everyone come this November."
Call of Duty: Black Ops II is set for November 11 (as if you didn't already know), and it'll be interesting to see if it can smash more records. Last year's Modern Warfare 3 broke initial launch records, but it hasn't quite surpassed Black Ops as the biggest-selling CoD overall. At least, it hadn't at last count. So how will BOII fare? Well, having a new Nuketown should help.
