Two More For PlayStation All-Stars: Heihachi And Toro Inoue

The two new characters for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale have been revealed.

You can check out the official update over at the PlayStation Blog. The first is the iconic Tekken fighter Heihachi, who has been with the legendary fighting franchise since its inception back in 1995. Die-hard fans will recognize his trademark Electric Wind God Fist and Twin Pistons moves; Heihachi will be best used in close-range combat.

Then there's Toro Inoue...don't recognize the name? Why, it's the Sony Cat, who has been a faithful mascot in Japan for over a decade now. He may be all cutesy and tame on the surface but beneath that charming exterior beats the heart of a formidable opponent. Toro introduces a "unique stance-based fighting style" to the game, which lets him use various sets of attacks during a match. So he can do both melee and ranged attacks by utilizing his Justice and Oni forms respectively.

Last but not least, they lifted the lid on the newest stage: Dojo. If you recall PaRappa the Rapper on the original PlayStation, you'll know what this looks like. If not...Google it. ;)

Haha, didn't expect Heihachi. It just sort of makes me want to play this game a bit more. Wish he didn't have the stupid hair DEW. but oh well. I just wish they'd make the GoW level not look lame. Anyway, while Im sure this game will have a lot of catching up to do, design wise, compared to the Nintendo version, it looks like a pretty solid start so far.

Now we just need Cloud Strife right?

I understand Sony wants to appeals to those who like the Smash Bros series. Looks like this will be fun, with a variety of characters to fight.

Of course myself, never cared for the Smash Bros games. I would've liked instead an epic Kingdom Hearts type or other type epic crossover game involving PlayStation franchises and some others as well. Make a villain who threatens to annihilate entire realities (Like Antimonitor from DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths as an example) and the characters go on epic quest to stop him/her. Imagine Nathan Drake working with Kat from Gravity Rush to collect an important artifact. Or Cloud from FFVII working with Solid Snake and Laharl from Disgaea fighting off armies of demons. And so on...

OHHHHHHHHHHHHH! OH! This is it! Thta's exactly the type of character I have been waiting for for this series. Tekken is all about the Mishima's (Let's be honest, the other characters are just supporting.) and my favourite character from the whole series is Heihachi! He made Soul Calibur II for me and he'll make this game too. I hope we get more characters like this who have spanned the decades of the Playstation Era.

A side note, please give him another costume, that Tekken Tag 2 hairstyle has always looked daft. Still I am not going to be too negative this is the best news I have heard about the whole project.

I agree, there is no reason why he couldn't make an appearance, it was developed by Sony after all. Also, it's been started many times before but it really is essential Crash Bandicoot makes an appearance for this (In his PS1 form, not scrawny and filled with tattoos...) - Crash was the mascot for the Playstation it would just be immoral not to have him.

Nice, I've always been a Heihachi fan. Wish they included the older him though, from either Tekken 5 or 6. Oh well, not a big deal.

I would play whit Fat Princess!! that game is awesome!! "These characters just don't come anywhere close to having the same kind of appeal as Nintendo characters so far." Man! we got Drake vs Kratos vs Heihachi vs Sweet tooth... Thats seem like a lot of appeal to me

Sir Dan would never lower himself to appear in such a crappy game. I want a new Medievil title though! Wasn't there a news blurb a few years ago about a help wanted ad that seemed to indicate another one in the works? Where is it??!!
