The Last Of Us Vid: A New Actor And A Spunky Ellie
The Last Of UsAny day we get a new The Last Of Us trailer is a good day.
Sony has posted up the latest video (the one shown off during their Comic-Con panel) over at the PlayStation Blog; it's called Bill's Safe House and this one is about dialogue and plot rather than action.
Here we meet Bill, an apparent acquaintance of Joel's who owes him a favor (for a reason they're not revealing just yet). Bill is voiced by accomplished actor W. Earl Brown, who has had roles in "Vanilla Sky," "Scream," "There's Something About Mary" and the upcoming film, "The Lone Ranger." His TV credits include the role of Dan Dority in the well-received HBO series, "Deadwood."
You'll also find a very spunky Ellie, who doesn't appreciate being handcuffed to a pipe and isn't afraid to go after a guy three times her size. Well, that should come as no surprise, given her actions in other trailers...this girl is a survivor and a warrior. Check it out.

dunno if i like ellies attitude though.
i mean yea she has grown up in the plague world so she has been exposed to allot of sh*t normal kids her age wont, but i mean come on!
i havent seen people twice her age act like that, let alone her age!
defending herself with a brick is one thing, but smacking a stranger over the head with a lead pipe, a guy 4 times her size and strength?
yea, thats just a tinny bit unbelievable!
especially when all he did was handcuff her so he could check her for infections.
surely hes not the first guy to do that to her!

In a world where it's seemingly every man for himself, the instincts of each characters survival is being portrayed. That's how she confronts fear and/or her enemies. She has that attitude and mentality in other trailers, it's who she has become. So I think it's very believable. How's she supposed to know what the guy would do next after cuffing her after she watched him literally force her ally to the ground? He started the physicality, she just responded to it.

just because shes been exposed to allot normal kids wont does not justify her swearing like a sailor and acting like a nut case.
even after he agrees to help them shes still acting like a spoiled brat!
