Resident Evil 6: SDCC Trailer, New Gameplay Footage

If you can't get enough Resident Evil 6, you need to check out what Capcom put on display at this year's Comic-Con event in San Diego.

There's an official trailer that highlights the intensity and urgency of what appears to be a pretty slick campaign. There's also a fair amount of creepy tension (even if most aren't calling this "survival/horror") and we get a glimpse of some freakish boss...expect many of those throughout the adventure. It's kind of a RE trademark.

Then there's some fresh gameplay, which appears tight and invigorating. Leon takes on the baddies and as usual, he knows how to handle himself. He almost gets nailed by a train, those damn freaky dogs are back again, and zombies are just flooding a train tunnel, but hey, it's all part of the job.

See, now if the entire game was like this, I'd get it day 1, but it's when I see the other character stories that I lose intrest. It is great to see that Capcom hasnt forgotten what Zombies are though, perhaps when they lower the price, or put out the gold edition or whatever they're going to call it, it might be worth a pickup.

I've seen every piece of gameplay footage so far and I am extraordinary impressed. It may not be the old Resident Evil of yore which was as glorious as it was terrifyingly fantastic, but it's a step up from Resident Evil 5. From what I've seen Capcom has been doing their best to cater to all audiences, at least in terms of customization so you can either go in dark or have a full set up with a map and what not. I mean they've even taken criticism from people who have played the demo; an example being how they have noticeably pulled the camera back when in the earlier versions you had a face full of Leon's jacket. Call me an optimist, call me a fool, I cannot wait to get my hands on this game and play it until my hands are numb and bleeding.

Not a day 1 but I like Leon and it looks like a neat shooter so I'll get it at some point. Cool that you can stay on the ground and keep shooting a la Max Payne 3.

Leon's campaign alone looks worth a go. Off topic and a bit of a silly question but is there a reason most games are showcased using the Xbox?

Or Xbox was the lead platform during development. But I'll go with bikersaint's answer.

Metro, support stories about post-Soviet nuclear disasters! :P

I'm actually playing Metro 2033, love the fact I can swap dialog language to Russian. Just awesome.

I bought 2033 for $5 but my PC won't run it without a decent graphics card, lol.

Hell, I loved M2033, but got stuck somewhere in the middle, so I need to go back to it after I'm all done with the whole Assassin's creed series I'm doing now.

BTW, as old as M2033 is now, it should be super cheap new on Amazon, Ebay, or 1/2 price dot com now, and even cheaper still as a used copy too.
