The Last Guardian Update: "Technical Issues Being Addressed"
Unfortunately, it wasn't at E3. Prior to that, rumors swirled concerning the status of The Last Guardian, one of the most anticipated PlayStation 3 exclusives of the generation.
But the wait is growing long and concerns continue to linger. Some have said the game might not even be in development, or maybe it has been temporarily shelved. Well, a Game Informer interview with Sony Worldwide Studio President Shuhei Yoshida has revealed a small update. ...it might be more upsetting than encouraging, depending on your point of view.
"There are some technical issues being addressed. There’s not much to show what it looks like. At this period of time we are unable to give an update, but the game is still in development."
We've heard that designer Fumito Ueda left Sony to work on a contractual basis on Guardian, and we've also heard that Ueda can be a tough guy to work for. Just about every piece of information we have concerning this project is a little unsettling, but at least it's "still in development." At this rate, though, maybe it should be a PS4 launch title.

a BBC writer wrote a article in 05 about a amazing ps3 exclusive had had been shown, then when this was revealed he wrote a article saying yes that the last guardian was the game he had been shown.
so that means the game has been in development for at least 7 years!
thats borderline diablo 3 territory, and that only took so long because the team split up multiple times!
i really wish $ony would put allot more manpower behind their japan studio!
they have recently expanded ND and SM, i wish japan studio would be next!
they have created so many awesome unique experiences, we really need to see them be expanded give them more money and more manpower so they can continue to do so!
tis such a shame we have not had the chance to play a successor to ico.
such a spiritual awesome game!!!!!
as more and more time passes, it just feels like $ony is doing more and more to loose their japanese roots!
and its really a shame because that is exactly what made them such a unique successful company!
its almost like their ashamed of it or something.
