Anomaly: Warzone Earth: A Strategy "Tower Offense" Game
Strategy aficionados often have to look high and low for promising titles this generation.
They need to turn their attention to 11 Bit Studios and their new title, Anomaly: Warzone Earth, which is slated to launch on the PlayStation Network at the end of the summer.
As described at the PlayStation Blog, the game really is an "anomaly," in that it's a "strategy game perfectly suited for console gaming." An alien spaceship has crashed into earth, splitting into two parts: One half falls in Baghdad, the other lands in Tokyo. A huge dome emerges above each crash site and these domes become known as Anomalies. What's going on inside?
You have to find out what's happening at the Baghdad Anomaly, where you discover alien war machines ripping everything apart. Basically, Warzone Earth is a "tower offense" game, where instead of managing units to fight off invading forces, you actually control the attackers. So it'll be familiar to RTS fans but it also adds its own twist on the traditional style. The PS3 iteration offers an exclusive co-op mode, too.

i wish someone had the balls to come out today and free these games out of the digital pen!
just makes you wonder if this is what they could do with a digital budget and restrictions, than what could they do if the game was at retail?
CTP containment field for instance, so many developers out there cant release a scary game if their life depended on it!
than in come the indies and, well, make you search the house for the boogy man like you did when you were 9!
so sad that the franchises that use to be king of the hill, are now confined to the digital arena and are very, very, niche!
