Work On GT6 Began "Immediately After" GT5 Was Complete
Two things we know: Kazunori Yamauchi is one of those rare visionary perfectionists, and as a direct result, new Gran Turismo installments take some time. Lots of time.
As reported by Japanese source Impress Watch (and cited by Andriasang), the Polyphony Digital boss fielded a few ultra-burning questions concerning upcoming GT iterations.
Regarding GT6, Yamauchi confirmed that he's been "working on the framework" for the new effort ever since GT5 was out the door. Obviously, he's not about to say when we can expect it (at this rate, it might be safe to assume it'll be a PS4 title), but he did add something very much expected: "We're always aiming for the latest technology and the latest expression." Well, duh.
Then Yamauchi said a PlayStation Vita Gran Turismo was possible but if they were to make it, they'd want to utilize that "play anywhere" feature via 3G functionality. It's likely he'd want it to connect with the new PS3 - or PS4 - Gran Turismo as well; we keep hoping more developers will take advantage of that "transfarring" feature pioneered by Hideo Kojima.
Just let us know when GT6 is coming. We simulation fans will be ready and waiting. And drooling.

Don't get Me wrong but, GT5 (for Me) is was just a piece of LOST Direction. I LOVE Gran Turismo Series on PSOne and PS2 but this last one... Meh.
Maybe, MAYBE it's so advanced that we need a G25 or a G27 to enjoy it, I don't know. I just know that I could EASILY pick Up GT3 A-Spec and play several hours having fun. With GT5, after a few minutes I'm just bored.
I prefer a GT6 for PS4 launch date than a GT6 in PS3. Is just that I will have the feeling "This is how GT5 SHOULD be from the beginning..".

Let us also hope no shadow distortion as seen in GT5. I would like to see GT6 on the PS3, but I don't think this is a realistic proposition...

I want GT6 on the PS3, but on the other hand, I wouldn't mind GT6 on the PS4.
What almost makes me believe that GT6 will be on the PS4 is Kaz's comment regarding the premium cars that are currently found in GT5.
Kaz said --
"Actually, they are so good that we could use them in any PlayStation 4 game,"
Anbody who has used photomode will agree.

Include a course editor that lets you recreate detailed track layouts, although not with the same king of graphical reality that the Polyphony courses have. Then set up an in-game market. Allow players to publish their courses (for a nominal fee) and let other players 'purchase' those tracks (also for a nominal fee). Make that nominal fee something like 50 cents, and give the track maker 50% of every sale of their track. If you look at games like LBP, there are far more players that play levels created by others than there are players creating levels. So, setting up an internal market for these user created DLCs rewards the people that put time into their creations.

i really hope he does a vita version though, its such a shame how few racing games it has!
i wish gameloft would get to work on porting asphalt 7 to it, probably THE best mobile racing game out there!
as for GT6 though i really would be shocked if its a ps3 game!
i just hope this time he tries to do what made GT so great!
it did few things but it did them so well it did not matter!
instead of GT5 doing so many things everything was pretty poor!
i wish he would do a open world game too.
have the open world racing but with the typical sim controls and physics both with cars and bikes, and this time add a test drive unlimited 2 feel to it have all the controls for the cars, lift the roofs off and such.
now that would be sweet!
its a shame we really never have had a open world sim!
exactly why im looking forward to forza horizon so much!

Almost any PSP game that you can download to your PS3 from the PS Store can be transferred to the Vita and will work.
