Black Ops II Multiplayer: Guns, Gadgets, A Hatchet To The Face

We were warned that the Call of Duty: Black Ops II multiplayer debut would arrive this week.

And here it is; over two minutes of diverse preview action for all you shooter aficionados out there. It's full of different situations involving everything from shields to rocket launchers to...a hatchet to the face in slo-mo? Yep, there it is.

The gameplay basically speaks for itself; the only question left is whether or not the hardcore CoD faithful see something significantly different or upgraded from past experiences. Then again, maybe it doesn't need to be updated. Maybe it just needs to feature that addictive, high-intensity, nonstop online fun for which this franchise has become so well known. After all, when you start to change things too much, you lose your core audience...

The biggest game of the year hits on November 13.

Haven't played it since Cod2 but this looks somewhat of an improvement.

I havent played seriously on a CoD since MW1. After that they sucked. But this looks interesting since there are few 3rd person shooters coming out anytime soon.

Ima keep it real and say that it looks interesting and yes I'm probably going to buy it but after you hit the last level on the firt prestige it's going to give me that "Oh time to play something else" feeling. After that I'll probably play it here and there.

I actually kind of miss the WWII setting now, I'm not a big fan of this futuristic stuff. However, Treyarch does usually have an interesting single player campaign so I may get it.

Black Ops was WAY better than MW1 2 or 3, so it probably be the best cod yet.

MW2's multiplayer was garbage, so many stuff was exploited in that game. Black Ops is still very solid for multiplayer.

But hey, that's my opinion of course.

CoD4 and Black Ops was my favorite by far.

If you played shooters competitively Black Ops was leagues better than MW2 and MW3.

I personally think Black Ops was the best CoD since MW1.

Just because it didn't reek of aim assist like the others, and have ridiculously overpowered kill streaks doesn't mean it was a bad game. It was just harder and different.

Agreed Xenris.

CoD4 I will always have fond memories playing, and will never forget it but, I still like Black Ops a bit more I just liked the feel of the game, especially when playing competitively, which I did in Black Ops and a bit in CoD4 with some friends.

This looks pretty good. Don't see much difference in the way of gameplay but that means nothing when talking about FPS' in general. Some of the gadgets look like they'll be fun to use. I'm Pretty excited actually to get into it.

Let's be honest though, it's obvious CoD 4 was the last "realistic" shooter in this series. It's obvious it's all about the entertainment value now.

Man , yet again , no change to the stupid knife .

Beside that it look pretty good , look like the weapons won t be a fiasco like in mw3 .That shotgun look sweet .

mmmm actually kinda surprised tbh it does look pretty different....i mean yeh the gameplay is the same but it does look pretty different from the other cods could be good

It looks different enough in graphics which is kind of cool. I just don't think its worth a full price purchase though.

You know a series is getting stale when the fact that it actually looks different from the previous games surprises people. in fact, they even call it good.
