Borderlands 2 Come And Get Me Trailer: Handsome Jack Taunts
Borderlands 2Now why would you want to overthrow such a charismatic guy as Handsome Jack? I mean, he's a little annoying, but...
In a new Borderlands 2 trailer entitled Come And Get Me, the main villain in the anticipated sequel taunts the four character classes while reluctantly admitting they can do some cool stuff.
There's the "grizzled commander," the wacky gunzerker who likes to flip people off, the "mystical and deadly" siren, and "this assassin...thing." Handsome Jack isn't fazed; Handsome Jack has his own personal army; Handsome Jack has some tricks up his sleeve that you won't see comin'. And yet, Handsome Jack has to go down. So come September 18, accept his challenge and take him out.

Now I looooved the first one, but honestly I would just go right to this one. More people are going to be playing it, and it seems like a complete and total upgrade to the first one. I wouldn't discourage you from getting the first one as the game of the year edition has all the DLC and is really cheap for the content you get, and you would be supporting an awesome developer. However I think that if your tight on cash just go for Borderlands 2.

The first one were awesome, I loved it, but personally I think it was partly because it came out of nowhere. I didn't have any expectations except that it was a coop shooter.
Borderlands 2 looks better in every way possible.
But like Xenris say too, the GOTY edition with all the DLCs, now that is a *lot* of hours gameplay for your money. And the Borderlands DLCs are excellent too, easily some of the best DLC released so far.
