DICE Hints At Return Of Mirror's Edge, Bad Company IPs
Two franchises that really shouldn't die and thankfully, the developer understand that.
Mirror's Edge remains one of our favorite new IPs of the generation, but we haven't heard about a sequel despite the million-plus sales performance of the first title. Battlefield: Bad Company is another solid series (or rather, sub-series) that nobody wants to see disappear.
The good news is that during a recent IGN interview, DICE executive producer Patrick Bach said that Mirror's Edge is quite frankly "too good to kill." He said the same thing about Bad Company:
"The Bad Company IP is still something we love, and it’s very dear to me because I worked on both titles. We have no information with where we are to a sequel to Bad Company, so I can’t tell you anything about that IP."
Bach made it plain that his team will "never kill anything great" and that obviously applies to both IPs in question. We're wondering now if DICE is preparing a new ME or BC entry for the next generation...Mirror's Edge could really benefit from new technology; in fact, done properly with fancy new tech, it could be downright mind-blowing.

The only reason why many considered the first one a bit average was primarily because of its short length (you can finish it in 1.5 hours), weak story (really needs one which explores the environment more), repetitive level design (near the end), and then it's stray from the core concept of its gameplay!!! (running away with amazing parkour tricks turned into actually confronting your enemies head on with weapons)
These are the only things they got to fix - I seriously believe I thought through this well enough where if THEY WORK ON THE SUGGESTIONS I listed - they got ONE HELL OF A GAME. THE CONCEPT IS SOOOO DAMN GOOD as is the SETTING!!!
Moreover, you gotta love the theme song: Still Alive.

talking till the death of them!
really gets annoying how they keep teasing them, i mean i remember back at the EB expo last year they hinted that mirrors edge 2 is in development.
if i had a nickel for every time DICE hinted at a BC3 or ME2 sequel, well, you get the routine by now.

Mirror's Edge
