DoA5 Devs Go "Hands-On" To Get Just The Right Jiggly-ness
Dead or Alive 5Obviously, some titillating license was taken with the wording, or there was a fortunate mis-translation.
...at least, we assume we can't take this literally. And if we can, I think I'll try to get on Team Ninja's staff for the next DoA.
During a new PSU interview with Team Ninja producer Yosuke Hayashi, we learn that the developers went "hands-on" with partners and other members of the studio so as to get just the right breast physics. That's right, they put a whole lot of effort into that particular element, so the breasts of the female characters...uh...bounce correctly.
And in response to anyone who deems this sexist, Hayashi simply said that his team's goal was to create the "cutest chicks in video games" and that's exactly what they've done. That requires a little something extra, ya know. However, we shouldn't forget that DoA5 also boasts a brand new game engine "built from scratch," so the heart of a hardcore fighter definitely beats beneath those over-sized chests.
Just try to keep your mind on winning the match.

Another thing altogether is to go out like this. It's just tacky. Even Volition - the makers of the supertacky Saints Row games - didn't make much of a point out of the free floatin' racks in their game. It's there for all to see, we all enjoy their efforts, but no need to flaunt it like this.
It's kinda like a mutual agreement across all men that is breached here; Yeah yeah we dig tits, but let's not make a big deal out of it.
I guess this is what did put me off with Lollipop Chainsaw too, the marketing were just too trashy, like cheap porn.

Bottom-LESS Virile or Bieber-ish MAN fighting it out! The effort put into Ballz bouncyness simulation is just INCREDIBLEEEE.

and B) It releases the day a busy fall quarter starts (probably very distracting) I feel almost like a VF5 addict as it is.
But I'll be all over DOA5 no later than the end of Fall quarter.

On the topic of men & women in bikinis as mentioned somewhere above. TTT2 will have swimwear for the men, women & animal characters. So every man, woman & their pets won't feel hard done by. So anyone itching to see a kangaroo in a mankini, hairy bears in bathers or crusty old Heihachi in a loinrag won't be disappointed.
Also, in VF5FS there are bikini/swimwear for both genders so everyone can enjoy seeing Goh in a thong showing off his milky pale flesh to gawk-worthy eyes.
But let's be serious here. DOA ISN'T just about women fighters with improbable udders, it's a solid fighting game in it's own right with some of the best interactive settings in a fighting game & one of the best counter systems since VF.
Anyone thinking DOA is just a "Fighta gaem with bewbs" isn't playing it right or really is only playing the game for one reason imo.
There is some depth & challenge to be found here, you just need to look behind the pretty face.
