Psychonauts Goes Classic Next Week
This game has taken on legendary, almost mythic proportions...but mostly because we never got a follow-up effort, which is a travesty.
Double Fine's fantastic platformer from last generation, Psychonauts, is one of the most beloved titles in existence. Just ask around. If you missed it, two things- 1. Shame On YOU, and 2. You must buy it off the PlayStation Network when it hits the PS2 classics next week.
As announced over at the PlayStation Blog, this gem will go downloadable on Tuesday. The game follows the story of a young psychic cadet who dives into dangerous minds and halts evil conspiracies. Some of the best levels in gaming history exist in this one adventure; Milkman Conspiracy, Black Velvetopia, and Waterloo. It was pretty amazing, and I'm not even a platforming fan.
And hey, if enough people buy it, maybe publishers will be more keen on letting Tim Schafer do a sequel. Remember, it isn't his fault; as he has said many times in the past, he has tried and tried and tried. But it isn't a shooter so you know, no go. ...sorry, just a little bitter.

I bought this bundle and it was fun seeing Psychonauts again, it's charming much in the same way that Alice were, but Oh. My. God. how long some of the cutscenes are, they really take forever and they are impossible to skip.
