Final Fantasy Characters In Battle Royale Appear Possible

Everyone has their own set of favorite characters they'd like to see throw down in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

So far, there are plenty of iconic fighters in Sony's upcoming brawler; characters like Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Cole, Dante, Jak, Drake, and Sly already round out an impressive roster.

But because third-party franchises are included, shouldn't a really major one be represented...? That would be, of course, the legendary Final Fantasy series, as gamers everywhere are calling for Cloud, Sephiroth, Squall, and the host of memorable FF characters to be involved. The cool part is that Battle Royale developer SuperBot Entertainment is listening...well, maybe. You have to have an optimistic interpretation of SuperBot Omar Kendell's response at Gamescom, as cited at PSU:

"You'll just have to stay tuned. We haven't announced a Final Fantasy character yet, but stay tuned."

The possibility does seem to be there and it would make perfect sense. So what FF characters would you like to see in PlayStation All-Stars? The FFVII crowd is a given, but how's about Kefka, Terra, Squall, Rinoa, Zidane, Garnet, Vivi, Tidus, Yuna, and others?

It's probably going to be Lightning even though Cloud is much more desired. Why? Because Square will want to push her new game.

As much as I'd love every character of FF in the game, I don't want the game to turn into Final Fantasy Multiverse vs. Playstation All Star Battle Royale...!

Cloud and Sephiroth would be good enough. I mean, it's to REPRESENT a franchise so I think that one is the most memorable in general...

I totally agree with you. But the concept of Final Fantasy characters vs everyone else is very cool and intriguing to me but thats a different game. Cloud should be the likely candidate but I think like someone else here mention. Lightning might make the roster. I rather have Tifa.

Whoever they use they need a chocobo to be the 1st power up (I forget what the terminology is) and Shiva/Ifrit/BAHAMUT to be the ultimate power up...

Now that I remember, they could add Sora from Kingdom Hearts! He'd fit in perfectly with the theme being a mash up of franchises.

By the way, they haven't said anything about the story of this game right? It'll be interesting to know what path they'll take...

Any FF characters sold via DLC should only put money into a fund to remake FFVII.

I think it would be a really good idea for SE to put Noctis in the game, so that it'll help get Versus XIII get more attention and hype. I highly doubt that would happen since SE is always tight lipped when it comes to Versus.

Oh boy I hope isn't Lightning I'm already tired of her, they should of surprise us and put Noctis there!...and probably that would be the only game in were we can use him.

It's going to be Lightning, of course it will. They have been promoting Lighting all this gen. If it is another character I would be very very surprised. Of course Dissidia shows that many FF characters are capable of taking this spot. Of course it won't happen but I personally would like to see Vivi take the place. His magic and cute visuals suit the game perfectly.

Well, with FF Dissidia (and Duodecim) already out there, I think we all know what it's like to play as most of the main FF cast in a fighter. However, I would love to see a Moogle, a Chocobo, Cactuar, or a character we don't see very often outside of their original games. Like Barret for example.

I think it would be a huge missed opportunity if they didn't get a few RPG characters in there.

Not really, the only major difference is that the camera follows your character instead of being spread out back so it can fit both/all players on the screen. The gameplay mechanics aren't really much different.

Well I don't see what special moves or finishers would go into Battle Royale that would be all that different from Dissidia. My examples with Moogle, Cactuar, Tonberry, Chocobo, and more mascot-y characters would fit better into Battle Royale.

While I wouldn't mind almost any character (Cloud=preferred, Rinoa=Hell No!), I know more than likely, it's gonna be Lightning.

Why? Oh, just cuz SE is content with trying to stuff this bland, uninteresting character down our throats...

It's like they're trying to make XIII the next VII....but they won't take the hint that it ISN'T working :/

I think we all know that they will be putting Quina in the game as an alternate outfit of Fat Princess. It's obvious.
