Far Cry 3 Official Survival Guide: Nobody Told Me About Tigers

There has always been an intriguing element of survival in the Far Cry games, and the upcoming third installment will certainly be no exception.

Check out the Official Survival Guide that welcomes you to the Rook Islands, where vast forests are part beautiful scenery, part deadly environment. There are more than just human baddies in the world of Far Cry 3, and you'll have to know what to do when, say...a freakin' tiger jumps you.

Slated to arrive on December 4, this is one of the most anticipated games of the year. The lengthy cooperative gameplay presentation at E3 was probably more than enough to convince most, but new videos like this showcase the game's depth and variety, not to mention its colorful backdrops. Explore, conquer, survive. Good luck!

I love when games actually improve and they really go all out to try something new.

Man that looks incredible. I love open-world games and I love fantasy like Fallout and Elder Scrolls but we definitely need more open-world stuff in a real world setting.

I very much look forward to colorful tropical backdrops.

And holy crap they're going to give us a map editor and co-op.

Woohoo!
