Amazon France Lists Killzone Trilogy

Amazon France is good at giving us early information. Or maybe they're just good and putting stuff up before official announcements.

As you can see by this new listing, it seems we'll be getting a Killzone trilogy some time soon. It's apparently slated to release in late October.

We don't know which titles will be included, but we assume it's probably the first three entries, including the first on the PS2 (possibly touched up for high-definition). But they might bypass that one and give us the PSP iteration, Killzone: Liberation. That might actually be better, as there aren't that many fans of the original title, which only had a lukewarm reception; on the flip side, the PSP game turned out pretty well, as most will tell you.

Trilogies aren't really anything new this generation. They're great for those who just want to catch up or those who are huge fans of the series in question.  Besides, you can usually get three games for a great price.

I hope it's all 3, in HD, and Liberation included too.

Save yourselves the money and just buy KZ2, it's the only good one.

Eh, 3 was pretty good actually, just a step backward in gameplay. I'm biased against Liberation though because it's isometric. Jammer should be the main character in KZ4.

Not that I know of, it's anybody's guess if the digital PSP version will play.

Ha, I already have all 4 of them.

Liked 2 & 3 the best.

I wouldn't mind a HD'd 60fps Killzone 1. Then again I would love KZ Liberation with duel stick support.

I would really love to have both KZ1 HD and an HD version of Liberation with DS3 controlls. But if it's called a trilogy it wouldn't really make sense to include both. I'm not sure if it would be easier to HDify KZ1 and add PSN support, or to upgrade Liberation for PS3. But I'm thinking the first installment of the series would win out a spot in the trilogy over a PSP spin-off.

I loved the first one, picked it up for cheap thinking it was going to be average but it had me hooked from the start. There are some elements of it I liked more than the sequels, and it really set the stage.

Very underrated game and completely undeserving of the slagging it gets IMO.
