Don't Get Confused: Ground Zeroes Is NOT Project Ogre
When Metal Gear Ground Zeroes was announced, it was inevitable: Many would assume this was the secret "Project Ogre" Hideo Kojima and his team have been working on.
After all, it uses the Fox Engine and it's in a more "open world," which is in line with the Project Ogre descriptions. However, Hideo Kojima wants to make it abundantly clear that Ground Zeroes and the currently unannounced mystery title are not one in the same.
In a frustrated Tweet, the MGS guru said:
"While I am happy to know people liked 'MGS Ground Zeroes,' I'm sick & tired of people keep asking me like 'is that project Ogre?' here in Seattle everyday. Project Ogre is what the project that Ogre appears. Ogre does not appear in 'MGS Ground Zeroes' trailer."
That obviously makes it sound like "Ogre" is a person, a character of some kind. And furthermore, this means Kojima and Co. are working on two potentially revolutionary open-world-style games, which should make the fans all the more anticipatory. And in all this, where's Metal Gear Solid 5? So...three games in the works? That's ambitious.

"The title name is 'MGS Ground Zeroes', not 'Zero'. It is plural. There's not only one hypocenter."
More than one map? Could be like Battlefield Bad Company's levels, it had about 5 big maps (i'm refereeing to the first BC).

Also add this to the list of games that clearly is going to run at optimal level on the next generation, though I'm sure we'll see a version of it for current gen consoles too. I am so excited thinking about the possibilities for the next gen at this point.

this though puts in serious doubt whether MGS5 IS in production or not.
i seriously doubt it!
at least not as a ps4 launch title.
not to mention ZOE is suppose to be in production, but i seriously doubt thats taking too much time either.
more likely for it to be full steam ahead on GZ than oncce thats finished than hopefully will see something on project ogre.
seems a bit ambitious and risky to be fully developing 2 games at once.

Not sure about Ogre, it could be current Gen, maybe.
