RE6 Public Demo Set For September 18
You don't have to steal a copy of RE6 to play it a little early.
If you picked up Capcom's solid Dragon's Dogma earlier this year, you were given early access to a Resident Evil 6 demo. The rest have had to wait but that wait is almost over.
The publisher has revealed that a public demo will go up on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live on September 18 (no mention of a demo for PC). With the official launch date set for October 2, that means you get to play one of the most anticipated games of the year a full two weeks early. If it's the same sample as the one available to Dragon's Dogma owners, we'll be able to test out missions featuring Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Jake Muller and Ada Wong. I didn't play it but it sounded like a pretty meaty demo.
RE6 represents a mechanical departure for the franchise, in that the developers have finally left the old-fashioned "tank controls" behind. ...and that's one advancement we needed, I say.

I guess ending survival controls was just the next step for this action franchise. Sadly that's the way of things now and as such I will partake if the scores are high at a later date somewhere down the line.
