Bethesda To PS3 Owners: Dishonored Won't Be Buggy
Two things: 1. We've been hyping Dishonored ever since we saw it; we're convinced it will rule the school. 2. Bethesda has basically treated PS3 owners like sh** this generation.
The fact that the PS3 versions of their games are buggy as hell isn't news. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim suffered from a disastrous glitch that we didn't find out about until after playing for a while, and downloadable content is often late in coming to Sony's platform and again, it's often glitchy. Bethesda has had to work closely with Sony just to get the latest piece of DLC, Dawnguard, to work properly on the PS3.
I've said my piece on this before and I won't be changing my stance. However, if Arkane Studios can deliver a solid experience on the PS3, I'll take back some of the things I've said about Bethesda. According to what studio boss Pete Hines told a concerned gamer on Twitter (as cited by NowGamer), they may have learned their lesson. Here's his encouraging response to the question, "Will Dishonored run properly on the PS3? I don't want another Skyrim."
"Dishonored runs very well on PS3. Press have been playing it all month at QuakeCon, Gamescom, and here at PAX. Ask all the press playing the PS3 version if you don't believe me."
That's good to hear but frankly, I'll believe it when I see it. Dishonored is slated to release on October 9 and it should be one of the better games of 2012, if it lives up to expectations.

Also, I hope it burns when the press asks them questions like this one here.

Everything was done by Bethesda to minimize the damage prior to the games release and the high scores show.
I won't be fooled again and will not be purchasing a Bethesda title until several months after the game releases if at all.

I liked Skyrim and never had any problems, but it was way over hyped and not some revolution like many made it out to be.
I won't be getting Dishonored new at all unless we see Dawnguard release on PS3 first.
But remembering Bethesda's other recent titles like Brink, chances are I'll wait till well after release if I ever do pick it up.
Way too many good games that I know will work coming out this year without having to worry about if Bethesda screwed up yet again.
Seriously, get some real developers!

Since Dishonored was not developed by Bethesda, I might give it a look someday but I'll take anything anybody associated with them says with a grain a salt.
I don't see much of Todd Howard online. I guess he's too busy standing in front of a mirror admiring the fact that he looks like Lyle Lovett...try saying that 5 times fast.

Bethesda as a publisher has released several titles that's run well on the PS3 over the years.
Need I remind you all of the pretty recent titles Brink and Rage? Dishonored is easily within the scope of those games. Surely it will run fine. No worries.

So you can't really compare it to a dev that keeps releasing bad ports (with a few exeptions) and nearly completely ignores one side of their userbase to which they sold the game to for the same price XD
Also, the game they chose to mess up was kind of... GRAND... XD Like they messed up on one of the biggest and most acclaimed of the year XD That is why we feel much more hatred.

Although even if Dishonored does work fine on the PS3 since Bugthesda didn't actually develop it Dishonored is likely going to do little if anything to counter their well deserved reputation as the worst PS3 developer in the industry. And on top of that I think there are at least some PS3 fans who aren't going to give a crap one way or the other at this point on account of being throughly sick and tired of Bugthesda's bs.
You can count me among them.
