Spartacus Legends Goes Free-To-Play
Hope you like the free-to-play model because that's essentially the future, or so it seems.
Ubisoft has revealed that Spartacus Legends, the title based on the hit TV series, will release as a free-to-play title on both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in 2013.
Obviously, the whole trick of "free-to-play" is that it isn't necessarily free if you wish to wish to enjoy the full experience. In Spartacus Legends, you will be able to purchase equipment that will help you in the Coliseum. But in order to obtain the higher-level equipment, you'll have to up your "fame," so new players willing to spend a little cash won't automatically have the edge in combat. Remember, this is the game that has you living the life of a gladiator, and that includes everything from practicing at the training grounds to deadly battles in the arena.
If you're a fan of that time period and setting, you should probably give it a try. And hey, it's free to start playing, at any rate.

Anyhow, yah, the Deadliest Warrior had many cool concepts but the execution on everything was pretty much sucky.
