PS3 Update v4.25 Ups Cloud Storage
More space is always good.
At Gamescom last month, Sony announced they'd be amping up the amount of available cloud storage for PlayStation Plus members. That time has come; the upgrade will be included in the new system update for the PlayStation 3.
As confirmed over at the PlayStation Blog, update v4.25 will update the Online Game Save Storage from 150MB to 1GB. Remember, though, you have to be a Plus member. If you are, just download the update, go to the Saved Data Utility and access the Online Storage folder. You'll find that any existing game saves have already been uploaded, and if you set your automatic download to upload every game save for every compatible title...well, that's just a nice safety net. Always a bonus.
If you aren't a Plus member yet, we strongly recommend it. Even with little activity, the membership will likely pay for itself in a short span of time.

Oddly enough though, I just noticed that all my games have automatically transferred over to the cloud(even though I had turned off auto-updates, etc).
And even the demos that I had deleted days ago are now back, hiding inside my cloud.
Spooky!

Ok, now my cloud's storage is reading 942MB out of 1024MB.
Holy crap, with the cloud automatically uploading all my games(even though I have it set to do each manually), I'm almost out of room already, and that's with this new 1GB update.
Guess I'm gonna be setting a new "delete" record on those same demo's that I had already deleted from my Saved Data Utility file days ago.
Even spookier!

According to a poster that asked that same question to the PS Blog staff tonight, the answer is "YES".
Let's say you're at the end of your PS+ and you don't renew it, but 3 months later you decide to sign back up for it again.
The Blog staff said that you'll get back all the games you already had prior to you re-signing again.

I think I have about 2 or 3 wheels from the Dreamcast era that have 3 separate cord ends so they can be played on different consoles.
And the same with my PS2 wheels, also playable on the PS1, Xbox, Gamecube & more.
BTW, how did you get your DC up to 1080, & was it easy to do??????

@world, if you happen to let your plus run out you can no longer access the content or your online saves. if you renew you get it all back. but be warned, YOU ONLY HAVE 6 MONTHS. if you go past 6 months of it not being active YOU LOSE EVERYTHING.
just remember if you want to redownload something you dont have to click through the stupid download list. just do a search for it in the store and the download button is right there.

I see Sony finally bumped the firmware to 1.80 for the Vita as well on their website in the US. It had been stuck at 1.69 until yesterday, unlike the rest of the world...

For the same price as xbox live gold, theres no denying that ps+ is a better value.
