Kojima Productions Seeking Employees For New LA Studio
So, want to work for a legendary team?
It's not often you get the chance to apply to a developer like Kojima Productions, so if you seek a career in the video game industry, you might want to check out the new job listings found at Gamasutra.
Kojima Productions is opening a studio in California and if they get enough qualified applicants, the work will move forward. As you can see, they're looking for a lot of people, ranging from character and environment artists to a game level designer and a graphic engine/tools programmer. The listings aren't specific as to what sort of projects you'll be working on; they mostly just say "3D actio game," so what the LA studio will produce remains a mystery.
Of course, you might also offer assistance on the recently announced Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes, or maybe you'll actually be working on Metal Gear Solid 5. But whatever it is, just to know you'll be working with the same team that reports to Hideo Kojima is enough to apply, yes?

Are you guys calling Kojima a visionary just because of the Metal Gear Solid series, or has he done other stuff too?

R.I.P Vilerat.
I read most of the accounts on the Libya storming, his Tweets just hour earlier of his fears of impending doom, & also everything on the Eve Online forums, & some of the posts there were really heartbreaking.
The Eve Players have been naming orbiting spacestations in his honor, plus "The Council" is going to be setting up some kind of memorial plaque, or monument, that remain inside the Eve game forever.
