BioWare Founders Leaving, But Another Mass Effect Is Coming
Sadly, founders Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka are moving on, but BioWare continues to look forward.
And that's good news for Mass Effect fans everywhere.
As revealed at the developer's blog, studio general manager Aaryn Flynn confirms that BioWare intends to create a new "full" Mass Effect game. He didn't give us any specific details, but he did ask fans to submit their ideas and feedback for the future of the series, which is always critical. Furthermore, it seems Casey Hudson is looking to create an all-new IP "set in a fictional universe," which is being built from the ground up and running on "new gaming technology."
So the head honchos are going away but what they're leaving behind is a highly talented fully functioning studio. And that's nothing to sneeze at.

I'm playin' Mass Effect 3 intermittently, it's such a quality game. It's scary how low profile true sci fi has been this gen. I hope the next entry uses a different formula though; I'd rather the story build up than be confronted at the beginning with the final battle and then sent off to wander about.
