Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX Trailer Brings A Tear To The Eye

It isn't the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts III but it'll do for now.

The oddly named Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX was officially revealed at the Tokyo Game Show last week, after several months of rumors supporting the idea of a KH collection of some kind.

It features the original Kingdom Hearts (PS2) and RE: Chain of Memories redone in beautiful high-definition, along with newly rendered cut-scenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (kinda wish the whole game was in there, but oh well). And now, as you can see, Square Enix has given the TGS trailer to the world, just to convince you that when - and if - it shows up for the PS3 in this country, you just gotta get it.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX will be available in Japan some time next year. Here's hoping for a US date soon...

I can't stop saying that this game *should* be localized. I would buy this in an instant. C'mon S-E, do something that makes sense for once in this console generation!

It will be nice to the PS2 version of Chain of Memories. We never got that here in the UK and I remember really enjoying the GBA version. Also the 328 Days clips look perfect. I started playing that game but sort of lost interest.

So is it true we'll be getting a KH 2.5 Remix too? - with KH2, Birth By Sleep and KH3D & maybe some added clips from Coded.

Then what is the point of any of this... Surely the purpose of this was to clean the slate of console jumping this series has done in preparation for Kingdom Hearts III. I can't see myself buying a 3DS until the end of next gen, just as I did the DS.

Because kh3d is brand spanking new and no that is not their intentions. It is just to build more hype, stall, and milk it a bit for KH3 to come. They could have easily just given us a KH HD complete collection with everything in the franchise besides kh3d and recoded like rumored.

No, they are splitting this baby into two =/. Speaking of hype kh3d has done its part in that department and lets not forget there was kind of a hint for bbs volume 2 in the final remix.

I have this feeling we are not going to see KH3 right away especially with ff in the way every now and then.

Also, the kh fan base is amazing and I guess you can say they are taking advantage of that? Anyways, I'm buying both this and KH 2.5 HD remix.

Oh hold on, I think I just thought of something ultima. What if kh 2.5 hd remix is coming out in 2014. Then it would be 2 years since kh3ds was released. So maybe then they will throw in the rest and aim for KH3 for 2015 on ps4?

We approach the PS3's 6th anniversary and all SE has for us is an HD paint job for a game we all played to death already? Holy smokes man, shouldnt' we have had this five years ago?

If it makes you feel better, this is suppose to be a ps3 exclusive and you will be playing the final remix version of Kingdom Hearts 1 in HD instead of the regular/NA one.

It makes me feel better like I ordered a Rickards Red, but all they had was Keith's Red... It's still a red ale, but it's not what I wanted. I've had Keith's before... and I'm ready to move on to the next thing. Why do I have to re-live what I've already tasted to get a little Red Ale?

It will be nice to play the PS2 version of Chain of Memories - It was never released here in Europe. Also the 328 Days clips look great so is it just random cutscenes of have they made it into a story overview?

Are they planning a KH 2.5 Remix too? With KH2, Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance? - Maybe also have the few clips which were worth while of the Coded games.

This series has had such a wound over the year by being spread out onto 5-6 consoles, I am glad it seems S-E are trying to clear up the mess.

Everything I am initially hesitant towards always ends up being the best decision I made. Kingdom Hearts (lame characters), Death note (creepy characters), Final fantasy franchise (thought the graphics were just unplayable) and more.

Moral of the story.... play the game.
