Full PlayStation All-Stars Launch Roster

Sony has revealed the roster for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale bit by bit but now it appears to be complete.

While it's obvious that more characters can be added via DLC in the future, the launch cast is complete. According to IGN citing a Tweet from PlayStation Blog senior social media specialist Sid Shuman, every fighter in the original roster has been revealed. That leaves us with the following; there will be 20 in total:

Evil Cole MacGrath
Colonel Radec
Dante
Fat Princess
Heihachi Mishima
Jak and Daxter
Kratos
Nariko
Nathan Drake
PaRappa the Rapper
Raiden

I'm sure you've got ideas for more, so feel free to let Sony know. There's probably no limit to how many characters can throw down in this entertaining free-for-all!

I expected more characters at launch. Maybe this is due to the fact that SuperBot is in hot water regarding the leak of characters before official announcements. It is rumored that some heads have rolled over this and that some 3rd party publishers are now reluctant to participate or simply do not want to make any further announcements until after the game is released. There are just too many logical characters missing that could make this game appealing to the broadest audience possible. I guess we will just have to be patient.

Well everyone has been clamoring for Crash and Spyro which is understandable, but personally I couldn't care less about either of those characters.

FF NEEDS to be represented. How 'bout a Midgar level as well as a few of the most iconic characters from 7-10?

Kat from Gravity Rush would be badass (and I heard rumors she was in it for sure)

The fact that Snake isn't on here is blasphemy. Snake defines the Playstation. He better be there in DLC or something. Just inexcusable to have to pay for him or not to have him in there at all.

I like the roster, but it does seem a tad anaemic in these days when most fighters launch with around forty characters. Still, most of the characters that I'd most like to see are in. I can do without Snake or Crash or Spyro. I'd still like to see a Chimera and someone from FF (Dissidia proved they can work). Would love to see Valkyria Chronicles show up, and where the devil is Kiryu? One of the biggest third party exclusives is a no-show? Ah well... Still not sure whether I'll get this one. Maybe a Vita purchase when I get it, along with a price drop.

I'm not even a real FF fan but seriously. How could they not have any? I'd buy the game just to see whatever amazing level/levels they had representing the gorgeous FF environments. Hopefully they add it in later.

Even as a big Final Fantasy fan, I can look past that to see what is more important - Crash Bandicoot! This is the icon that defined the playstation back in he day, he was as big as Sonic and Mario, even though that is hard to believe nowadays. But for a game celebrating Playstation life it is a crime not to included Crash.

I would also Welcome Cloud - The first FF released to Europe and on the PS console. Spyro - Another PS Platformer. Okami's Wolf, Lara Croft and Snake, though Raiden is suffice.

I have been loving the beta but this roster is not what i had in mind. Superbot better release some characters if not all DLC characters free. Terrible way to start off an awesome game like PASBR.

The first SSB game only had 12, but the ones they picked were the best of the best. Leaving out Crash and Snake would be like leaving out Mario and Samus respectively.

But I think they did that on purpose. If this game under performs, I would expect big name DLC characters. If it does well enough, I expect the sequel to be a PS4 launch title with everyone we are missing.

I hope there are at least a dozen unlockable characters that they didn't reveal, but in this age of DLC that is unlikely.

Needs Gabe Logan with a taser attack. Does anyone remember Syphon Filter?

And how about Yoshimitsu? So many fantastic moves compared to Heihachi.

Lara Croft kinda needs a spot too. Who doesn't immediately think of her when remembering the glory days of PS1?

HAAAAHAHAHA sir daniel fortesque hell naw from medievil/? lol god why did they never make a ps3 or ps3 game? i bought the ps1 game a long time ago..which reminds me i have yet to beat it hell they even had a psp game howver i cant believe there was no ps2 game.. anyway if he is really in this game i can almost gurantee there will be a medievil reboot either a full on ps3 game or a PSN download game for like 15-20 bucks... either way i cant wait to hear some news awesome...
