PSXE Poll Update: Gamers Unimpressed With Resident Evil 6
Resident Evil 6 experienced a surprise split decision of sorts, as review scores from major sources were all over the place.
This has also led to some heated discussions concerning the general quality of the game, although according to the results of our latest poll, it appears the skeptical are winning.
The majority of participants said they'll be passing on RE6 regardless of scores, and many more said they'd probably wait on picking it up. A few die-hard fans said they'd be grabbing Capcom's latest the instant it hit store shelves, but one would normally expect a more positive response to an installment in one of gaming's most historic franchises. Well, bad things tend to happen when you mess with a winning formula, even if there are those who argue such a transition was necessary in order to "adapt."
For now, we'll leave that controversy behind and focus on the PlayStation Vita. It hasn't sold as well as Sony anticipated and gamers everywhere are waiting on games they really want for the system. Several such titles are indeed on the horizon, but if you're a Vita owner, are you disappointed? Are you planning to get rid of it? Or do you just plain love the thing?

As for Vita, I really like the system and wish it was doing much better. Can't wait for AC Liberation this holiday and Tearaway, Soul Sacrifice and Killzone next year.

After 100% completion on Gravity Rush I started right in on Uncharted: GA (which is excellent). I already have a big backlog on the Vita and more great games are right around the corner.
Haters at this point are being just that: haters.

if theres one company that consistently keeps surprising me this gen, its crapcom!
but sadly not in a good way.
every time they release a sequel to their franchises i say it CANT possibly be worse than the last!
and somehow they manage to prove me wrong.
case in point with DMC 4 and the new DMC, and RE5 and RE6.
funny how every time crapcom does a sequel fans are hurling feces at them.
and when there doing new IPs fans throwing them parties!
i wonder why..........
as for the vita you need to put a option of already sold it in there.
me and a few friends bought ours on release day and all have decided to sell them because besides ACL, which i played yesterday and is meh, theres nothing really coming to the system.
i dont like sitting on 430 dollar pieces of plastic saying yea they will be used in 6+ months time.
in that case ill sell it and buy it again in 6+ months time.
one of the many, many, MANY reasons why i hate $ony!
they CONSTANTLY screw up platforms, they CONSTANTLY come out and say yea we f*cked up, we shouldent of done this, this and this, we swear it wont happen again.
than their next system comes out and their up to their old tricks again!
they know the mistakes their doing are hurting them, they know what the bloody problem is, so why dont they fix it like they say they will!?

As for RE6. I say give it a chance based on Leon's campign alone. It's pretty awesome. I got more of a survival horror vibe in Leon's surprisingly long campign than I did the entire RE5 game so I am happy. This game is a blast online. Absolute co-op bliss. Oh if use a mic and you looking for co-op friend feel free to add me. My psn ID id Jamiecolts.

The other complaint i have is the occasional crossover that force you to replay the same boss fight ( not too bad if you re able to get another player that is at the same place in another campaign to join in ) and being stuck in the same environment in most of the last 2 chapter in each campaign .
Another disappointment is the graphics because you can easily see the lack of effort for some art of the game . It can get from great to awful real fast sometime .This is especially concerning Chris campaign ( especially one of it s chase sequence ) .
One part of the game that i got nothing bad to say about beside maybe the lack on maps is mercenary mode, that mode is a real blast to play ( especially in duo ) .The quickshot and roll feature make it even better then in re4 and 5 .
All in all , i had lots of fun playing most chapters and i ll replay them at least once with the other character i did nt pick .
If anyone care , i give it a user score of 8.5 cause the + side easily overshadow the complain i have about the game . Review-wise a 7.5 - 8.
lol.... it was not my intention at first to write this much :p

Anyway, I really miss not having it & I've kept my 16GB memory card with some games on it, plus Hot Shots Golf, Wipeout & Uncharted for whenever I can afford to buy another one.
I really want that white AC:Liberation bundled one, but being out of work for soooo long & being dirt-broke anymore has put a real kabosh on plan A. Hopefully though, plan B is now in effect so if my income tax check is enough to swing it, & if they still have a AC bundle somewhere too, I'll be able to get another one.
But if not, I'm sorry to say there is no Plan C, & it could wind up being a looong, looong, time coming before I'm able to get another Vita.
Damn, damn, damn...I wish Kickstarter would allow me to do a "Help broke-a$$ Saint get a Vita" funding gig.

I think the Vita is an impressive little machine. I've also got the PS3 that I'm buying games for. Patience is a very good friend to my wallet.
