DMC Demo Promised, "Novelty Modes" Available To Unlock

Some people really hate the new Dante. But shouldn't we play the game before passing ultimate judgment?

At the very least, we can check out a demo and see if Ninja Theory has maintained and properly cultivated the patented and hugely enjoyable Devil May Cry style. From what we've seen of the gameplay thus far, we'd say the developers have done exactly that. it looks great!

But we do have to play it and thankfully, it appears that a demo is on the way. It's definitely coming to consoles, although we don't have a solid release date, and we also find out that Virgil won't be playable this time around (he was in DMC3). However, in regards to the story, players will learn more about Dante's parents, and a few more "novelty modes" will unlock after beating the game.

Personally, I think Ninja Theory hasn't received their just due this generation. Maybe this reboot will give them the respect they've so richly deserved thus far. ...I do, however, question their business practices after Heavenly Sword, as that title seemed to sell plenty well enough.

It looks like a great game and I wants it but I can't say I envy Ninja Theory. When this comes out, no matter how good it is, fans of the series are going to rip it apart across the interwebs machine.

Only thing that bugs me is over-do on coarse language. I mean, it's really not necessary.

I haven't heard any of that, so far the trailers I've seen are mostly gameplay.

I've seen a leaked boss video. A lot of swearing.

I'm not a fan of the new direction but I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but why oh why does their lip synching or whatever it is have to look so flipping horrible!

Don't need a demo. This WILL be mine. Seriously, NT are boss, but I think I've made my feelings in them quite clear.

Stoked for this, but till this day, I'm still wondering why the MT Framework engine wasn't used.

If I remember correctly, it's because the folks at NT thought that it'd be too big an ask to learn a third coding system for as many games. Can't really blame them either, in spite of the obvious graphical benefits of Capcom's internal engine over UE3. Then again, the style of DMC, IMO, has put paid to that.

My friend who hardly games was surprised at DmC's graphic.

He was like," What the hell? DMC4 was released in 2008 while this will be out in 2013 yet the graphics only looked like they were only 2 years apart."
I can't really agree with that but I do think the graphic could have been better, a 2013 game hello?

Oh, I firmly agree that DmC isn't much of a graphical jump over DMC4, if one at all. But I'm not put-off by the comparative unimpressiveness at all. I think that the lurid colours and more fantastic scenery, as well as a move away from the semi-realistic Gothic architecture of the previous games is inspired. It's a brilliant choice of art direction that helps to mitigate the shortcomings of the engine in much the same way that BioShock, Brink and Dishonored have also done. Just my two cents.

I'm wondering what's up with that too, it's be nice if it looked at least as good as Enslaved but I think since it's only 30fps and the battles are super fast with lots of moving part they must have had to make some sacrifices on UE3.

The only thing they need to impress me with is the gamelay ( the rest look good enough ) .So unless the demo rove the combat mechanic is fun and somewhat deep , i ll pass until it s close to 39.99 .
