Battlefield 3 Aftermath DLC Dated

The fourth of five planned downloadable expansion packs for Battlefield 3 has been dated.

The Aftermath pack for last year's award-winning shooter has been confirmed for November 27, when it will be available for PlayStation 3 Battlefield Premium members. Xbox 360 and PC Premium peeps will get it the following week on December 4, all PS3 players receive the DLC on December 11, and all 360 and PC users get the pack on December 18.

If you've already purchased that Premium subscription for $49.99, the Aftermath pack is free (as is all the scheduled DLC). If not, you can grab Aftermath by itself for $14.99. This pack offers four new multiplayer maps spread across the streets of Iran after a devastating earthquake has hit. We'll get a new game mode, too: Scavenger, which forces players to start a round only with a knife, one grenade, and a sidearm. It'll be your job to find more powerful weapons ASAP so you can get the jump on your opponents. Lastly, the DLC brings the crossbow, new assignments, and new vehicles. That enough?

And don't forget that Medal of Honor: Warfighter is set to hit store shelves next week. Shooter fans have everything they need, don't they?

Wow, FPS maps are expensive, but at least there's a new mode I guess. For 15 bucks, that's the value of a lot of full fledged PSN games so they better make it seem like people will get a value or experience similar to that.

Didn't they just release a Premium edition with all the DLC.... What was the point if they still intend to release more DLC that means there is 3 versions of this game available and later when they're finally finished there will be a 4th...my brain!

What would be the 4th edition? The Premium edition will include all future DLCs.

On a side note, the Premium edition saves A LOT of money now that I think about it. I saw it at Wal-mart for $59.99. If you buy a regular BF3, it's about 30 to 40 dollars. Add that with the Premium subsription, that's over $80. That's a saving of over 20 bucks, but if we're comparing to CoD's $110 on their package (regular game plus DLC pack), it's a waaaaay better value.

If it gives you all future DLC then fair play to them.... well it's fair as DLC goes, I'm still against the idea entirely but we'll leave that for another day Sparky.

I hope so; it looks promising.
I doubt it, but I'm not sure...
