Need For Speed: Most Wanted Launch Trailer: Hot Cars FTW!
Several big titles hit this week and one of them is bound to satisfy the racing fanatics.
No, it's not a simulator but it's almost guaranteed to be oodles of high-octane fun. It's Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which is essentially a NFS/Burnout hybrid that is designed around the premise of open-world freedom.
The launch trailer is here a few days early (the game is slated to release on Tuesday) and it puts the emphasis squarely on the most appropriate feature: Hot cars. Hot cars going fast. Hot cars going fast in a variety of different locales around a really cool city. Remember, this is Criterion Games, not the team that gave you The Run; rather, the developer responsible for the much better Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and the awesome Burnout Paradise.
By the way, I've had the game for a day or two and the review should be ready and rarin' to go by Tuesday night...presumably. This Hurricane Sandy crap could seriously hinder me next week.

The news & weather keep saying that once the hurricane & that cold front collide, it's a high chance that it will be worse than any rare 100 year storm we've ever had.
I just hope that there's not another damned power outage again(we lost everything in our refrigerators), or a massive flooding here cause I'm only a 1/2 mile inbound from the Atlantic Ocean.
Since being laid off, I don't even have the money to go anywhere else for the week so I've got no choice but to ride it out.
Wish all of us Mid-Alantic & Eastern Seaboard Coasts "good luck" cause I've got a feeling we're going to need it.
Freedom Or Fire,
This isn't gonna be a Nor'easter, hell I'd gladly settle for that if it were a N'E.

Why the hate for Burnout Paradise though?
Did you forget that in there was 8 months of no-cost updates (game changing content) that included additional freeburn challenges, new freeburn game modes, new vehicles (Rai-jin and Olympus), Burnout Bikes (and their associated freeburn challenges and burning routes). All that stuff needed to be downloaded and I assure you was not already on the disc.
All the paid for DLC arrived a year or more after the game was released. The Island came 16-months after launch, that was not something they sat on for all that time.

While speed points are linked to your account and follow you, there is no "cross-save" feature. So one achievement on the Vita version does not apply to PS3 version. Also, again not sure if it's a technical issue, but online mulitplayer is capped at 4 players on the Vita.
