Promo Posters Say GTAV Hits In Spring

Most have assumed Grand Theft Auto V would show up early next year, and now a leaked promotional poster might confirm that.

According to Kotaku citing a Polish fan site, there are a few pics of a promo poster for GTAV circulating around the Internet. As you can see, the poster clearly says "Spring 2013."

It's mildly interesting to note that only two platforms are listed: PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with no mention of a PC or Wii U version. Well, if you remember, Grand Theft Auto IV launched in April for the PS3 and 360 but didn't arrive until December of that year for the PC. So maybe GTAV is following that same trend. As for the "Spring" part, that could signify a later-than-expected launch for the game, as spring doesn't technically begin until March 21...only ten days before the end of the fiscal year. And we all know what Take-Two said about the potential greatness of the current fiscal year, yes? 

Guess we'll learn the truth in November when all that new info comes our way. I'm getting a little anxious...

It was always a current-gen game. There was no chance they'd pass up a 120 million+ userbase. They couldn't.

The theory is that it would ALSO be available for a next-gen console.

I bet they port the game to the new consoles when they launch with small upgrades to the graphics (they don't need to do much to have it still sell well) and maybe some bonus content to take advantage of whatever new features are available with the new machines...

That pic makes me want to go sky diving...without a parachute. I used to do that all the time on GTA4, its just fun.

Oh! OH! just as I kept on predicting, I'd say give me some skin if the phrase wasn't so vile...

In any case, I hear that we'll be getting some info sometime in November, I really hope they reveal the story and what character we'll be playing as this time. The last trailer did nothing for me.

It would be great if the release date were to be April 29th, because that would make the release of GTA V exactly five years after GTA IV.
