Call Of Duty: Black Ops II Will Boast Live In-Game Streaming

It's just another little bonus that is bound to attract the attention of a great many.

Today, Activision Publishing has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops II will boast a new live streaming feature, available upon the blockbuster's launch on November 13. This nifty option will let players live stream gameplay on YouTube directly from the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 consoles.

They're calling this a "first of its kind innovation," and Call of Duty Elite subscribers get an extra benefit: Elite members can see the player card of the user that is streaming, so they have access to all sorts of info; i.e., class loadouts, recent match data, and career stats. In addition to YouTube compatibility, streaming can also be seen via mobile devices and tablets. Said Treyarch boss Mark Lamia:

"From the beginning of development with Call of Duty: Black Ops II, the team has been pushing boundaries on every front to offer Call of Duty fans things that they haven't been able to do before. With our competitive play and eSports initiatives, we wanted to deliver live streaming capabilities built right into Call of Duty: Black Ops II, because Call of Duty is not only fun and exciting to play, but we believe it will be just as exciting to watch. By making the capability of live streaming as accessible as possible to our fans, straight from a player's console without the need for any additional hardware or sophisticated setups, we are empowering our fans to share their multiplayer experiences."

So I'm assuming everyone is ready for Tuesday? Or rather, late Monday night, when the midnight launch parties kick off?

That's definitely a cool feature of BO2, along with anyone can shout cast a match. Which could be very fun and interesting, yet also be a problem.

BO2 is going to be my last CoD game so might as well go big before I stop playing the games and move on to other things.

I don't like CoD, but this idea is actually incredible and more games should follow suit.

Since I don't play the MP portion of this game (I play the SP Campaign and then give the game to my son, who plays the he** out of the MP) I will not be utilizing this feature but you can bet starting at midnight on the 13th, Youtube will be lit up. Have fun!!!
