Skyrim DLC For PS3 Might Be Too Little Too Late, Bethesda
Bethesda still hasn't managed to bring any downloadable content to the PS3 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
But at least now they say they're "close."
We've been following the publisher on Twitter for a while, just to see if they toss up any fresh updates concerning this topic. Recently, an encouraging one showed up:
"To update: we're also close on new Skyrim content for PS3 and PC."
A later tweet thanked fans for their patience and promised that we'll "love the new stuff." That "new stuff" has been available on the Xbox 360 for some time; there's the Dawnguard and Hearthfire expansions, and the recently confirmed Dragonborn add-on will also hit the 360 first. Thing is, even if PS3/PC owners got all this eventually, isn't it just too little too late? It has been almost exactly one year since the title launched and as gimongous as it is, most gamers have moved on, yes? And even if they haven't, I imagine they're somewhat bitter...
Things move fast in this industry. If you're "close" to giving us DLC this long after a release, I'd question if enough people even care at this point.
