Square Enix Ditches Online Pass For Hitman: Absolution
You don't see this every day.
Initially, Square Enix had intended to make the Contracts mode in Hitman: Absolution available only through an Online Pass. But the publisher has decided to make the mode free for all. Say thank you!
All of us in North America will simply see the Contracts mode in the main menu when starting the game, while those in other regions can either redeem the code in the box or just select "Buy Contracts Pass," which will be free. Presumably, Square Enix would've charged $10 for this Online Pass; that's what other similar programs from the likes of THQ and Sony cost. But it's nice to see a little goodness thrown the way of the gamer; the holidays are all about giving, yes?
And better yet, that early mediocre review appears to have been an anomaly. A few other reviews have hit since then and some, like IGN's 9.0, are quite encouraging. You'll see our analysis soon!

PC: 73% (5 reviews)
X360: 78% (17 reviews)
PS3: 85% (8 reviews)
I haven't read any of the PC or X360 reviews yet so I have no idea why, but this is a very rare situation. The two console versions are usually really close (as they should be).
