Treyarch May Deliver Multiple New Modes For Black Ops II
It's already insanely popular but that doesn't mean Treyarch is going on vacation.
New game modes appear to be on the horizon, which should come as good news to avid fans of the recently released Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
According to a new Ask Me Anything segment at Reddit.com, game design director David Vonderhaar has hinted at fresh multiplayer modes for BOII, including one that may resemble "War."
This was introduced in Call of Duty 3 and was also featured in Treyarch's World at War; basically, two teams battle to capture as many as five separate territories. It involves defending, attacking, and going until all the areas have been captured. And when asked if this mode would return, Vonderhaar replied by saying there are currently "no plans" to make that happen. However, he also added that we should "never say never" and:
"Here is a hint. We have a very War like mode, that isn’t exactly War, that I would love to tell you about, but I can’t because … dragged away by PR."
Furthermore, there's more than just one mode the team is toying around with, as Vonderhaar has added that something like "All or Nothing" could show up at some point. He's not prepared to make any confirmations or give any dates but that's okay for now. We just needed to know more new stuff is coming to keep BOII's multiplayer interesting for months to come.
