Black Ops II Fans: "Hey, Bring Back Nuketown...Like, NOW!"
Okay, so here's how it was supposed to work:
The popular Nuketown 2025 map in Call of Duty: Black Ops II was going to be available 24/7 throughout this past Double XP weekend. The map was part of a pre-order exclusive and after this weekend, it was going to go bye-bye. Simple, yes?
But after Treyarch took down the Nuketown 2025 playlist early Monday morning, everyone sort of freaked out...even though they had to know it was coming. Initially, studio design director David Vonderhaar posted up the following Tweet:
"Double XP weekend is official [sic] over. That means Nuketown 2025 / 24-7 is as well. I know. Right? Don't kill the messenger."
Oh, but the fans did want to kill the messenger, and there was a massive outcry for the map to return to the public playlist. So it didn't take long for Vonderhaar to acquiesce and bring the map back. It's now in a new playlist called Chaos Moshpit but for the record, it's not available constantly. Hopefully, this will be enough to appease the CoD followers, who apparently really like Nuketown.

Black ops was the best COD yet and modern warfare 3 sucked.
Treyarch seemed to work really really hard to improve COD and they added so many features that should have been added years ago.
While modern warfare 3 was just basically a map pack...

Firesoul-
Black Ops is the worst CoD mp, IMO. It felt like a generic MW title. It was clunky, bland, and ran like crap. Not to mention the worst unbalancing of weapons in any game, aside from the dual shotties in MW2, which thankfully they patched.

All my friends who loved MW2 hated BO1, why, simply because they toned down the aim assist and got rid of a lot of the unbalanced perks and kill streaks. It was built with competitive in mind and on the PC it is actually incredible compared to the rest. Dedicated servers fix a lot of the lag issues that make MW2 and 3 a joke online.
The MP in BO is actually better than BO2 still. BO2 suffers from the same problems that MW2 and 3 suffered from and that is increased aim assist and hand holding.
From a completely technical standpoint BO1 was the most skillbased of all of them and why a lot of people think its still the best CoD since MW1 as far as MP goes.
MW3 on the PC was a complete and utter joke. You don't even have to aim so much as get the enemy in the center of your screen and hold the trigger down. This is becoming more obvious to me in BO2 as well. BO1 you had to aim more, and it took more shots to kill someone which raises the skill ceiling because all of the sudden headshots become more valuble instead of fast rate of fire weapons shot into the body.
Anyway I couldn't disagree more with you two. While BO2 is fun online, its like a mix between black ops and MW3 which makes it still better than any of the other MW multiplayer, but worse than the steps in the right direction they were taking BO1.
Don't believe me, look at what all the clans are using as their main weapons in BO2. 70% of the people are using the Second SMG I think it is? It has a fast rate of fire, and that is all you need because of how terrible the lag compensation is in this game. Fast ROF > everything else except for headshots.
I've been noticing this more and more as I have been doing league play. Lots of people are using the same SMGs or in general guns with low recoil and fast ROF and they just hip fire. Its plain ridiculous.

I still find this alarming though. The internet is proving to give people a voice just to abuse it. While this is a minor issue, I do fear that another disgusting display of attacking Developers creative ideals like the Mass Effect fans enforced upon Bioware will happen more often.

Either way the map is fun, but I hate small maps, so I typically don't play it.

Nuketown is also the reason why I pre-ordered Black Ops 2.
1 - The complaints on the forums were deleted.
2 - The complainers on the forums acted very immature about it.
It's back, so I am happy.

FYI for anyone that does care, Target's BO2 comes with Nuketown 2025 included still.
