Is Capcom Planning A New Brawler, "Fighters Of Capcom?"
I think we all know that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale was inspired by Smash Bros. I mean...duh.
And therefore, it'd be safe to assume that Capcom may have been influenced by both brawlers, because they could be planning one of their own.
According to European source PlayFront.de, a recent trademark for "Fighters of Capcom" has been discovered. That sounds like a pretty generic title but maybe it's for real; Capcom has plenty of iconic characters they could toss into the ring. Everyone remembers the Marvel vs. Capcom games from the Dreamcast era, right? Maybe it's time for Capcom to step out on their own, and give us a chance to pit Mega Man against Jill Valentine or something like that. Many opportunities!
This appears to be an ongoing trend, even if I've never quite understood the fascination. By the way, expect a PlayStation All-Stars review later tonight. Not my thing, but even so...

Needless to say I won't be interested, but I am glad they are at least keeping it within their own franchises. I still haven't gotten over Street Fighter x Tekken. But then, looking at how the Tekken franchise has been soiled this generation, it does not surprise me. If anything I am curious to see where Capcom could go with Street Fighter V. SFIV was a huge step in the right direction and a game I really enjoyed.

It would also be refreshing to have a different style of arcade fighting. I kind of like what Sony did with All Stars to differentiate itself and I would be interested to see how innovative Capcom can be
