Would PS3 Owners Want To Play Resident Evil: Revelations?

I don't know, I'm just curious.

According to a poster over at the IGN message boards, the Korean ratings board (GRB) has given a rating to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 iterations of Resident Evil: Revelations.

In case you're wondering, Revelations launched earlier this year for the Nintendo 3DS. Capcom has gone on record saying the game is closer to the classic survival/horror style we remember from yesteryear, which purists were happy to hear. After all, neither Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City or Resident Evil 6 - both of which released for consoles in 2012 - could be accurately considered "survival/horror." Let's face it, those were straight-up third-person action/shooter titles.

So maybe console owners would welcome Revelations. The game did pretty well with reviewers; it holds a very respectable 82 Metacritic average.

Yes. This is wisdom in action here. Think about the basic logic involved here. You release the big budget console sequel in RE6 and get good sales but also a ton of anger for selling out, in order to not totally piss off your fans you let those who have more sense than to buy a 3DS have a crack at a title that plays more like what they want to play.

It seems so simple but this is a rare thing to see logic in action at a gaming corporation.

Played it already. It was ok, kind of got a bit dull halfway through. So I'll stick with re6 unless they add extras. Maybe even co-op story so my girlfriend can tag along again.

Put RE:Revelations on the Vita. It was a great portable game when I played it on the 3DS. The vita will not have any problems with the controls. Advantage is you don't have to get one of those accessory, forgot the name, for another analog stick. Add the functionality of near as an equivalent to the street pass for those game items.

I second this comment. This would be a great addition to the Vita. Let's see this happen Sony.

I also agree that the Vita would eat up this game. Like you already said no circle pad needed!! :)

In a perfect world I would like Revelations to go this route; remake on the PS3 and then ported to the Vita! That way we don't get any of the 3DS deficiencies. Do I dare ask for a Cross Buy/Cross Play functionality?!!

I've heard it was quite good, and critics seemed to liken it more to the early RE titles than the action-oriented direction of late, so that's a good thing. I'd imagine that long-term fans would be interested in having this available on the HD consoles.

I still wonder whatever happened to RE: Portable, the one that Capcom announced for the PSP at E3 one year. Seems to be a bit of a trend for 3rd party PS exclusives announced at E3 to vanish; this one, Agent, Versus XIII... and then, of course The Last Guardian (though it's first party). *sigh*

This game is re portable sadly enough :\. So no PSP or vita resident evil coming anytime soon. I'm hoping I'm wrong because I was waiting for that on my PSP.

So sad Capcom has turned away from Sony :( Seriously, it's so sad. Can you imagine how Epic it would be to get a new Monster Hunter on the Vita! I mean MH3 Ultimate is going to be WiiU and 3DS Cross Play. It wouldn't be that hard to do the same for Vita. At the same time I would want a PS3 port on the Vita and not a 3DS port. That would be my most anticipated game on any platform.

If you like JRPGs you made the right choice. Xenoblade is one great RPG man.

no, they have just been swearing blue at crapcom for years to go back to the old RE style for the sake of it!
what a stupid question!
revelations was the closest thing we have had to a true survival horror game since RE3!
so this deserves the term "F*CK YES!!!!!!!!"
