Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires Dated For North America, Europe
Hey, remember Dynasty Warriors? You didn't think it had gone away, did you...?
Via social media - Facebook and Twitter - Tecmo Koei has officially announced Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires.
It'll be coming to North America on February 19 and Europe on February 22. For us, this will not be delivered on a disc; it will only be available on the PlayStation Network. However, our European friends will get the option of physical media at brick-and-mortar retailers. Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires wasn't anything special in our books, so we're hoping this new installment will improve in a number of important areas. This is a pretty solid franchise that did relatively well last generation, but has slipped in terms of overall quality in the past three or four years. It has simply gotten stale.
Man, I still remember seeing the original Dynasty Warriors on the PS2. It was one of those games that you wanted to play, just because it looked so impressive when compared with the rest of the console world. However, that being said, it was the last Dynasty title I played.

Yet Dynasty warrior does this and "OMFG they are aLL the same!!!" I'm not saying DW games aren't all very similar just saying the inconsistency with people and journalists is astounding sometimes.

This franchise was a blast in the PS2 era. DW3 was a classic in my opinion. It's too bad the franchise doesn't get treated with the deserving treatment. Stale is right.
