Corvette C7 Test Prototype Hits GT5: Can You Handle It?
If you booted up Gran Turismo 5 recently, you may have noticed the mysteriously camouflaged Corvette that appears on the game's screen saver. What's the deal?
Many speculated that the vehicle would eventually race into the award-winning driving simulator via future update. Thankfully, as announced over at the PlayStation Blog, the speculation was correct- As revealed at the LA Auto Show, Chevrolet and Polyphony Digital have been working for months to give gamers an exclusive first-hand driving experience by giving them a covered-up C7 Test Prototype in GT5. The DLC is available now on the PSN.
Spy photos have been valued at around $100,000 and Chevy has gone to "extreme measures" to insure the car remains very secret. They even tasked a design team with creating custom camouflage so nobody would see the fresh creativity exhibited in the car's aesthetics. For now, the prototype continues to go through "extensive performance and durability testing" as it preps for final production. So far, only a select few skilled drivers on the Chevrolet team has driven this bad boy...and now it's your turn. Time to go for a spin!

First the Nissan GTR, and now, the very staple of American sports cars, the Corvette. I am so impressed by the Vette's appearance in a two year old game I must give a shout out to Kaz and the fine folks at PD.
This also gives die hard fans such as myself hope for an amazing future, specifically GT6. Here we have PD developing a partnership with yet another automotive giant in GM which will only translate into a better product for fans everywhere.
Oh, the car sounds and drives awesome by the way!!
