The Last Of Us Primed To Wow Gamers Everywhere On May 7
It's the one date so many PlayStation 3 owners wanted to see tonight: The launch date for Naughty Dog's The Last Of Us.
And we got it at the Spike TV Video Game Awards tonight, as we now know the hotly anticipated PS3 exclusive will hit store shelves on May 7, 2013 in North America.
Initially unveiled in December of last year, the game has received plenty of press and promotion in 2012; Sony and Naughty Dog have done a good job keeping us abreast of the studio's progress. We've seen several enticing trailers and that gameplay segment shown off at E3 really got people talking. There's a darn good chance that The Last Of Us will be in line for some awards next year, just because it's Naughty Dog and...well, we've seen a lot of it already. Is there anybody who isn't at least a little impressed?
So put that date on your calendar, folks. You won't want to miss it.

Despite all the gameplay footage which I think is awesome, and despite the fact that I'm interested in it, it's still not a must-buy for me.
I'll be waiting for reviews and hopefully a demo to clear my sense of doubt or something, if this ain't by Naughty Dog I probably wouldn't even care.

If this were a movie I'd be excited though, for sure, cause I love the setting. But I am worried this will be too linear and scripted for my liking, Uncharted style.

its been revealed for a year now and we still dont have a good look at the games infected, or the plot of the story, all we really have to go off is the E3 demo they have showed 1000000000000 times now!
im really starting to wonder why ND and $ony are being so god dam secretive and protective of this!
i mean at the EB expo they spent 10 of the 15 minutes they had talking about how the guy playing the demo was the ONLY person in the country permitted to do so!
really, is that how you want to promote your game?
why are they being so secretive and protective of it!?

Fans of Uncharted know this game will deliver, no matter how much or how little they show. This game looks like less is more before release.
