Got A Bunch Of Games To Trade In? The Time Is Right Now
Seriously, don't wait. 'Cuz if you do, after December 16, these great trade-in values go bye-bye. Likely for good.
GameStop is well known for giving people less than they think they're going to get for trade-ins. But for some reason (maybe it's the holiday season), the retailer has decided to offer a lot more than they usually do for select titles.
You can check out the list of games that are worth more than normal over at the CheapAssGamer forums. You have to be a PowerUp Rewards member to take advantage of the temporary boost, but you probably are one, right? And if you're a Pro member, you can add 10% to the values you see on that list. Notable games include:
- Alice: Madness Returns – $20
- Assassin’s Creed – $15
- Assassin’s Creed Ezio Trilogy – $25
- Assassin’s Creed III – $35
- Assassin’s Creed III Liberation – $20
- Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year – $25
- Borderlands 2 – $30
- Call of Duty Black Ops 2 – $40
- Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified – $30
- Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse – $30
- God of War Saga – $20
- Grand Theft Auto IV Complete Edition – $20
- Little Big Planet – $15
- Little Big Planet Karting – $30
- Madden NFL 2013 (PS3) – $35
- Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012, PSV) – $20
- PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (PSV) – $15
- PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (PS3) – $30
- Portal 2 – $20
- Resident Evil 6 – $25
- Saints Row The Third: The Full Package – $25
- UFC Undisputed 3 – $20
Time to actually save some money...Black Ops II is worth $40. Did you see that? And Declassified is $30...

christ, not only does the US pay HALF what we pay, but they get better trade in values too!
a friend of mine traded in the hardened edition and only got 30 credit for it!
how a game depreciates 90 bucks in the space of 10 days is beyond me!
then you go back the following week and see there selling it for 80.
sigh.

BTW, Since I'm a collector, I never trade in any games (unless I got a few that were doubles inside a batch lot I've bought), but still, I'd rather sell them to a local Mom & pop video games store so they can stay in biz against the corporate fiends.
