SNES Collection On Sale: 721 Titles, Owner Wants $24,999
See Full ImageHave you ever wanted a complete Super Nintendo collection? Like a complete complete collection? Do you have about twenty-five grand saved up in the bank?
This isn't PlayStation-related but it's too cool not to post. An eBay user is trying to sell his massive SNES collection, which might appeal to the die-hard old-school gamers with a ton of money.
The owner has also posted on Reddit to offer more information, such as the fact that he would rather complete the transaction outside of eBay to avoid the substantial fees. This collection boasts 721 titles released in the US, Canada and Mexico and he's asking $24,999 or "best offer." There have been over 50 offers made thus far but all have been turned down. The new owner - whoever that might turn out to be - would get a 400-pound assortment of games, all of which have their boxes and 85% of which have the manuals.
Even if you had the money, where the hell would you put it all?

Damn, I wish I was still working, cause I'd be all over that.
I'd say his collection's well worth a bit over $35,000 ATM & some of those games have been going rapidly up in price, & are now up $200-$300 each, some even more. Plus he has most of the boxes, manuals, and all inserts too which in all usually ups the value by a factor of times-10 to a real collector.
Hell, if I put my collection gaming collection up for sale, of 45 consoles, hand-helds & tons of their accessories and with their 2,365 games, I'd be asking at least $100,000 for the whole lot myself(and I've got more invested into it than that).

i mean think of all the things you could buy for that money!
and are you really going to like every one of those games, are you going to have the time for each of those games?
never understood the obsession people have with things like this.
a friend of mine is obsessed with knifes and torches, hes spent over 30K just on a assortment of camping torches!
i wouldent even spend the 1K for the P21 he has, just 1 torch, let alone 30 for the multitude!
ill keep that 30K thanks, and put it towards a good car.
one thing i would love to buy though was a few months ago on xplay they had a segment where someone spent cant remember the exact amount but it was hundreds of thousands of dollars making a real working car that looked like a SNES!
inside and out was made to look like a SNES, and accessories from that era.
ok, may not be worth its money, defiantly not, but id be something id consider buying if i had the money.

The person who ends up with this auction will be some stuffy rich guy who thinks video games are "hot" investments at the moment.
